Lars' Phase 2 Scores

Tyrion

Recommended Posts

My scores spreadsheet. In yellow: the landing score which I really hate, though I don't understand why it's that low. In red, an 'off runway' score, although I landed on the runway. Both scores should normally be well above 100, as the first was done with a 737 and the second with a C130.

I guess FSFS is the boss...

  • 3 weeks later...

having problems continuing the RTWC here.

I've started the third flight several times now, but haven't been able to finish.

I've tried to fly it 3 times now, and all 3 times I flew more than 1.5 hours, but also all 3 times, FSX crashed after that.

I'll try to finish it anyway, but...

Managed to get another flight done today. Not really pleased with the scores though.

Especially on landing. I was dead center on the centerline from 6 miles out, yet Smith was always complaining: "let's get on the centerline". Same with the glideslope. 2 reds, 2 whites on the PAPI from 4 miles out, yet Smith didn't think that was good enough.

Well, anyway, flight's done, and the scores aren't that bad... just not good for my averages.

This one got me really, really ####ed... the landing score, I mean. The flight was picture-perfect, nothing to improve on.

As was, in my opinion the landing. The glideslope was indeed not the best, but I kept the VASI lights in check the entire final, so I really don't understand why I'm only getting 40%

Same with the 'on centerline' remark: I didn't deviate the slightest bit, so I'm really wondering about that one.

And then there's that terrible score... Only 50'ish points, with just those 2 remarks?? Can't grasp it with my mind... I'm not happy here... should be scoring well above 100 in the 737, even with those remarks.

Lars, I sympathise.

That Mr Whittle is always complaining.. "you're above the glide slope, you're below the glide slope" (even though you have the PAPI lights just right) "you have damaged your flaps" (even though you never exceeded the speeds that you inputted at the start), etc etc and he keeps asking "Whats that smell"...IT'S HIM,he stinks!)

.........and as for his scoring, don't get me started

I know the scores aren't that bad, but I'm getting tired of these uncorrect remarks upon landing. There was hardly anything to improve on upon landing, and certainly the 'runway centerline' remark is just wrong. Anyway...

And there it is once again! Getting really, really tired now...

I have a couple of screenshots from the approach this time: lined up 7 miles out, on the VASI from 4 miles out, and not deviated the slightest bit.

Also have screenshots from the rollout: no problem following the centerline!

Again, the points aren't that bad, but those stupid, stupid remarks...

Two flights to go, should be finished by Sunday... Just hoping FSFS stops making stupid remarks. I know full well myself when I screw up a landing... This one was as good as it gets...

Hi Lars, I stopped listening to the landing remarks of stupid Mr.Smith. Now, I just do it my way, and the scores have improved dramatically!

Hope it helps...

Hahaha, Smith keeps making up remarks: narrowly missed obstacles... LMAO... the entire flight (and especially the approach) was over water...

And now he's saying again: 'Landed without a proper approach OR off runway surface.'

Now, if he's making this remark because of the off runway part, he's just wrong. If he's making it because of the approach, well, he's again wrong lol...

terrible score though... but I have screenshots of the final approach and the rollout, so I can prove neither points are valid.

Shame, cause even if the 50 points are added, the score is still bad. Should be around 125 in the C-130...

Anyway, phase 2 finished... still not liking FSFS, though I have become a better virtual-pilot because of it.

here's the log from the final flight, screenshots coming soon.

At least you have reached the end, I'm still stuck in Klamath Falls trying to keep my PC from crashing whilst I'm trying to capture the ILS at KSEA (it did it on finals twice last night).

I'll crash-land if I have to finish that way, it can't make my landing scores any worse. :angry2_s:
