Lars.

Two things - three actually...

Please see the post with another upload of files PLEASE give this a final cnance. Only one more make runway build process. If it dosen´t work, doing so repeatedly won´t work.

Secondly - remember to add 50 points to all landing scores that gives you "off runway surface"

And last... see your PM

forgot to install the new files before doing this flight :blush:

So I'll be doing the landing again with the new files, as suggested by Ole.

Finally managed to get that last flight done...

My first complete flight (ever) with rudder pedals (brand new, Saitek Combat Rudder Pedals) so I'm quite thrilled by the fact I managed to stay on the centerline, both during takeoff and during landing... especially combining the rudder input with the toe brakes will take some practice to make it go smoother...

I don't agree with Smith on the flaps issue, but he's the boss, so...

Well done Lars - rudder pedals take some getting used to. But once you got them, you never want to go without :D

Congratulations on completing the first phase :groupwave_s:

I edited the first post in this thread to included the scores spreadsheet.

As previously suggested, I left all fields with an 'off runway remark) blank.

I probably won't have much time to refly those landings, but I'll see what I can do.

BTW, Ole, you're version of the file doesn't allow you to just leave a 'landing score' field blank, as you divide a sum by a given number.

Simple change: just use the '=average(...)' function in Excel (I guess it's like that in English, I have a Dutch version of Office...)

It will calculate the average of all values in the range, but just ignore blank fields (but will not ignore zeros)

While, although your version also works, it will count a blank field as a zero, thus significantly lowering your average score for that leg.

Just positive criticism of course!

Thanks a lot Manuel!!

They indeed take a lot of getting used to...

It's going remarkably well for fixed wing flying, but I do have some real life gliding experience, so that explains that.

I still find it difficult for taxiing and helicopter flying though.

With all your off runway scores I have added 50 as instructed to by Ole, so that we get your correct average landing score.

I just checked some things, and if you just left out the 'off runway' scores, and left them blank,

I would have 10 more points in total <_<

Reason is simple, you lose more than 50 points for an off runway landing (at least, off runway due to the program error),

certainly in a big aircraft. a good landing in a 737 is around 130 points, with the 'off runway' problem you only get about 35...

Still, I would not have beaten Andreas in the total scores department, but I would be very close :P

You're the boss, Matt, so no problems from me, I just hope this doesn't come back and bite me after phase 5

And of course, the program is fixed, so this shouldn't happen again anyway...

By the way, I'm not complaining, just stating, nothing more...

why would I complain anyway? by some miracle, I'm still ranking second in both flight and landing scores :D:D
