iPetroSS 542
Hello folks, I thought this would be a fun topic to start - Airplanes we barely fly in FS. I'll start with mine: Airbus A300/A310 Any Russian Airplane except for the TU-204 DC-10 / MD-11 (I adore this airplane anyways) 2WW fighter Airplanes (except for the P-51 Mustang)
Snave 466
Hello folks, I thought this would be a fun topic to start - Airplanes we barely fly in FS. Knowing what impact the Simobjects folder has on launch performance, surely you keep a regular check on EVERYTHING in the simobjects folders and remove/uninstall ANYTHING you're not making use of? Why would ever retain any addon you `barely` fly? Remove it, uninstall it, render it invisible in-sim. But just don't bother with it and leave it there so you can moan about it? Madness! I have NOTHING I barely fly. I don't see the point. Not used? It's gone. Possibly the only exception might be the A2A Accusimmed B17. I actually enjoy going through a half-hour four-engine, hangar-check, walkround, crew entry, full start process as a stress-reliever after a particularly inane set of drivellous forum postings, but don't always feel the need to continue to the runway and take-off. It's calling to me, right now in fact...

iPetroSS 542
I know that very well, I never keep planes I don't fly. I mostly have fully working freeware airplanes and many payware ones. I just started this topic in order to learn about the preferences of other people, what they usually fly and what not.

''I just started this topic in order to learn about the preferences of other people, what they usually fly and what not''. Is there room for a Poll section in this forum? Can produce some interesting results worldwide. Regards, S
hjcurtis 7
Actually if you were discuss default FS2004 aircraft that you rarely fly then I'd say this thread has a point. It was always my view that FS2004 had several aircraft that wouldn't get much use by most flight simmers and from what I can gather, MS found the same thing as they started work on FSX. For me the Tri-Motor, the Vega and the Vimy all seemed like a nice idea at the time but I doubt I accrued and hour in total on any of them. Having said that, I wouldn't have gone to the bother of deleting them. Similarly, I miss the Caravan floatplane that didn't come with FSX ... Maybe there's a discussion here after all ...
