Hi,

It is very difficult to reply to this question without any information on how you create a flightplan.

There are no big secrets to loading a flight plan the only requirements are:

- the flightplan is in the FSX flightplan format (not FS9 or any other format, only FSX format)

- the flightplan name consists of digits only

- the flightplan is located in the flight simulator x files (or typical folder name in your FSX language installation)

As you where able to load a flightplan at one point I presume you have followed the correct steps in the INS CDU to load it.

If any off these three requirements is not met the plan will not load.

So how do you create the flightplan, where is it located on your system and what is the filename?

You may want to include a short flightplan in your reply (it is a plain text file) so I can check if any data is missing.

I am loading them the same same way:

1. Set to waypoint 1

2. Right click #1

3. Light turns orange

4. Left click the flight plan number "3"

5. Left click "Insert"

Here are two FSX plans the first will load the second will not:

When you say that the flightplan doesn't load, what do you mean exactly?

The second flightplan only has 6 waypoints so the complete flightplan is loaded in 1 go and the light on the top left corner never turns green.

Have you checked if the waypoints are loaded?

Hi

I just tested the 2nd plan saved it and named it 3.pln in my flight simulator x files and it loaded without issue.

It might be worth checking the flight simulator x files folder to make sure the plan is there and properly named.

The light does not turn green but the WARN light turns on. I thought the light had to turn green for the plan to be loaded. Am I missing something? BTW Great Aircraft!

Yes 64Bit Win7

Looks like we know the issue is related to Win7 64. Two other test plans I have worked perfectly so I don't fully understand how this isn't working. Was the plan created on your Win7 64 bit system or from another system.

What I see is the red warning light when the plan loaded and I get the green light with plans created on the system.

I will do some more testing and get back to you it may take up to 24hrs.

Yes created on the same system. I will try to record it and send it to you, if that will help. Again great plane!

Hi,

As far as I can see there is no problem.

The light in the top left corner is green only when you are a) in flightplan mode so running a flightplan and B) you have so far not loaded all the waypoints in the flightplan into the INS.

In case you load a flightplan that contains more waypoints than can be held in the memory bank of the INS (9) the green light will come on indicating that when a memory location becomes available a new waypoint will be loaded into the INS.

When the last waypoint in the flightplan is loaded into the INS two things happen:

* the green light goes off indicating that from now on automatic loading of waypoints has stopped

* the red WARN light goes on indicating that the last waypoint in the flightplan has been loaded

Now when we compare the first flightplan with 11 waypoints then only the first 9 waypoints are loaded so the green light stays so you know that more waypoints will be loaded as you fly along. The green light will go off after you passed the first few waypoints and the red WARN light will go at the same time.

The second flightplan only has 6 waypoints so they will be loaded immediately when you first load the flightplan en no further automatic loading of waypoints will occur.

I hope this clarifies the system, it's actually a very simple system.

Thanks for the reply. In the documentation, the it reads, is that the green light comes on indicating the flight plan is loaded:

NOTE: A grey light means no flight plan is being loaded – an orange light means a flight plan is being loaded – a green light means a flight plan is loaded

I guess this where I thought is was not loading because the green light did not light up.
