  • Is the author working on the update for FS9 now and if so has the fsx version now been pushed back even farther?

  • Nice to see all posts about AI traffic... Can we be on topic again please?

  • Sounds to me you might want to go hunting for either corrupted lightmap textures, or AI aircraft which are missing lightmaps. And yes, I think there's a Spanair in the WOAI package that has been fl

Shouldn't BarcelonaX recognize the old version of Barcelona and deactivate it in the scenery library?

Well it didn't for me so I did that manually!

Hi,

The installer did not activate the scenery in the scenery.cfg, could be caused by the entry for the spanish airports Barcelona scenery. There was also no backup file for the scenery.cfg.

Anyway I removed the old scenery from the library, added the new Barcelona X scenery and everything works as expected.

Rob

Did you run the installer as an administrator? BarcelonaX correctly activated itself in the scenery library and also created a backup file for me!

Something I have seen while approaching the airport:

What's up with these lines in the water? They start to dissappear when I get closer (maybe they have something to do with the photoreal ground textures... )

Hi Nicolas,

yes, I think your idea is correct. It seems that these are borders caused by mipmap-effects at the edges of the groundtiles. But I haven't seen them on my pc during the betas, so there's an influence of graphic card and options too.

Ciao,

Rainer.

I noticed the ground disappearing when using the topdown view. Strange enough, lines are visible. Can this be fixed?

Another little problem I've seen, is this coastline issue close to the airport:

But other then that the scenery is totally awesome! :)

Hi Nicolas,

could you please add a screen from above that I'm able to see the location of this issue? And do you have any landclass-addons installed (like myworld)?

Danke,

Rainer.

Sure Rainer,

Here two more screenshots and I have no landclass addon installed!

Puh... that's luck for me, it's definitly a good step outside of the area I recreated for Manfred. ;)

Are you sure, that you hadn't this issue before? Could you please deactivate the new Barcelona-entry from your library (not delete, but I'm sure you know what I mean) and try it again, if the error still exists with the standard-LEBL?

Ciao,

Rainer.

Ok just checked it and the error remains with BarcelonaX deactivated, so it's not Aerosofts/Simwings fault. ^_^

Ok, this case is closed then. ;)

Are you common with such things like LWMViewer? If yes we would be able to find the wrong landclass file or poly together which is guilty.

If not it's a little bit difficult to find the bgl. I'm sure it could be solved.

But that's maybe something for the german forum part and definitly outside a Barcelona-thread.

Greetings from EDLI a handful nm south to EDLP. :)

Ciao,

Rainer.

Thanks Rainer,

I am sadly not used to that program, but I guess I am able to live with that little coastline problem! ;)

I've been having CTD problems about 1nm from 07R threshold. I've tried the same approach 4 times now. Every time FS9 either went to a black screen and stopped responding, or just crashed completely.

Twice on final LEBL 07R with Ifly B738 at exactly 300ft feet freeze of FS

Are there any information/events in Windows event viewer, which dll has the problems?

Ciao,

Rainer.

Hi Rainier.

I am also having CTD issues, I tried a quick flight Reus to Barcelona to see if I had the same issue and yes... FS crashed.

Here is the event viewer report.

I will try again this time from Girona to Barcelona and see what happens.

hmmmm... g3d.dll? any other addons installed? Mesh? Textures? If yes, please give a short list.

Ciao,

Rainer.

Since Flamingo said he had a CTD while flying the iFly 737, you guys should know that several users have CTDs while on approach with the iFly 737.

None, I do have Palma and Ibiza from Aerosoft, maybe a conflict there? I will deactivate them and see what happens.

I also tried a Girona-Barcelona flight on the default Mooney Bravo 31nm out of BCN... CTD now the culprit is this file.

Hi All

I also had CTD problems immediately when loading the scenery, but only if the flight is started in the morning. If it was an afternoon flight there were no problems. So I checked my World of AI aircraft. I have the latest Spanair package and one of the textures for an A320 was in 32 bits. I converted this to DXT3 and then started the flight again at exactly the same time, and now there is no CTD. So I would advise anyone who has WOAI packages to check that there are no 32bit textures. This may not be the reason for other peoples CTDs, but the solution worked for me.

Best regards

James

Tried once more with the afternoon job....guess that's not my problem over this way.

Hello all

I think that i find a mistake in the Barcelona airport.

See the image attached (runway 07 L) and say what's your opinion about the double ILS.

Thanks.

Ricard

PD: The scenery is awesome
