Julys Screenshot Competition

Recommended Posts

Okay folks welcome to July's Screenshot Competition.

This month we will have a themed subject. "Major Landmarks".

A external view of your plane passing by a famous landmark, obviously its got to be close enough to view the landmark :)

Oh!!! There isn't Manhattan installed on your computer, isn't it??

It's just Liberty Island, free download from flightsim.com, courtesy of Alan D. Griswold. Just search for Statue of Liberty!

I had made this Hawker Hunter repaint sometime last year as a tribute to the actions of Flight Lieutenant A.R.Pollock , who in protest at planned cutbacks in the armed forces in general and no plans to celebrate 50 years of the Royal Air Force ( 1st April 1918 ) , took off from RAF West Raynham on the 5th of April 1968 and flew under Tower Bridge in London . On his way back to base , he " buzzed " a few airfields as well and apparently " bombed " them with toilet rolls . Shortly hereafter he received a " medical discharge " from the RAF and it wasn't until the 1980's that his name was ( partially ) cleared .

As far as I know Flt Lt Pollock is still with us .

PS Is this close enough Shaun ?

Concorde flying low pass above middle of London.

From the wingview the lucky passenger could see both the Tower Bridge and London Eye!

5 minutes from landing at Paine Field ,where the Boeing Everett Factory is located, to bring in some parts for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, the 787 mark can be seen under the aircraft on the grass field between the taxiways, good luck everyone19744799.jpg
