Change the A/C Registration paint

Have the Piper Cheyenne PA31T and have changed the registration letters to my personal registration. However it only shows on the instrument panel. How do I change the external registration letters to match? I seem to remember it involves going into a text file for the model I am using and just altering the letters where they appear - does anyone have the full answer?

Hello Roadrabbit,

The external registration on the tailplane is actually part of the textures, so you wouldn't be able to just change them without some work.
