50% discount products

Hi,

I am a new member here and need your help or any reply by Aerosoft Management. In these days several Aerosoft products are on sale. For example, the France 2 and the Scandinavian airports 1 are sold with a 50% discount (10 Euros instead for 19.99, as reported on the homepage). Unfortunately, when I add to cart the France 2 addon and proceed with the checkout I see the full price €19.95 and not 10. I did not go ahead because next step was the purchase's confirmation.

Furthermore, by clicking on the 50% discount link on the left side bar I cannot see the Scandinavian airports 1 within the list of discounted stuffs, so I want to know if it is on sale or not.

Thanks. Bye.

Riccardo

I am not part of management but I looked at the download versions and it looks like the boxed versions of that sales you are talking about

a the lower priced items. It looks like maybe the boxed versions are on sale, I could be wrong on this. Hope this helps.

I tried to buy france 2 last weekend, for 10 euros, firstly the download version, no discount shown. I was then advised on the UK forum, after posting the same question, to try the box version. Again no discount shown, so i never purchased it. Shaun said he would find out what was wrong. Im still waiyng an answer.

Shaun,

Thanks for your reply and particularly the direct link. It has highlighted to me that I am a little behind in maintaining my links as I have been using the following two almost daily to keep up on Aerosoft:

a. forum link http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php

b. store link http://www.aerosoft.com/cgi-local/us/iboshop.cgi?show270

Your direct link gave me a third link, that to the Aerosoft online shop. Are there more?

I am still a little curious as to the why of the two commercial links that seem so different, the .com and (http://en.shop.aerosoft.com/eshop.php?action=home&shopfilter_category=Flight+Simulation).

Rick,

The reason for the disparity is that the shops are `region-specific` to cater for the individual sales and marketing requirements, and in some cases legal obligations. A single example: Aerosoft is a German company, so it is illegal for them to show the Swastika in any shape, form or manner. There are a number of addon aircraft that represent German aircraft of the Second World War that carried the motif, and while they may not be sold in Germany or via German-based `shops` they are available to other markets where Aerosoft have a substantial presence. By separating the sales fuinctions into country- or region-specific websites it is possible to circumvent such local difficulties, as well as deal with the vagaries of US Sales Tax, EU VAT and any number of other technical sales issues.

Alles klar?

Shaun, Simon,

Thanks for the information. I had considered language issues and regional distribution centres, but had not given a great deal of thought to other legal and tax related aspects. As an act of discovery I had gone to each site and where appropriate, clicked on the "flags" on the banner or masthead area that I anticipated would only change the language designations just to see if there were other new sites. It just caught my interest.

Alles Klar. Danke.
