Aerosoft Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] 51558 Posted August 13, 2009 Aerosoft Share Posted August 13, 2009 One of the Catalina's we used while doing that project was in the Danish Technical Museum. Very nice people there and one of our people (Finn) spend a few fine hours climbing into every corner of the aircraft to make the images Stefan needed to model it. As thanks Finn installed a PC with FSX and our Catalina on it so visitors can fly around a bit. Nice people and a great Cat, if you get close visit them and take a look. Attached an image with the Cat and the fine people who assisted us.
VinFlyer 8
That Cat is in good shape. At our Military Aviation Museum in Holland a nice Cat is stored in a depot. Here's how she looks...
Bruce Hamilton 97
Looks like the Danish museum scavenged yours for parts.

VinFlyer 8
Which one is that VinCrasher? That's Mr. VinCrasher for you It's the 16-212. Used by the Navy from 1952 till 1957 in New Guinea. In 1984 it was part of the museum collection until 1996. Has been outside all that time. Was in poor conditions and has been in restoration ever since. Hopefully it will be in full display again when the new museum opens at the former Soesterberg AB.
