Richard64 0
Hi all, everything working fine with CX, Sim probe etc. and am gliding all over the place. However what I want to know is this, what exactly are gliders allowed to do?Like WHERE can they go?How high are they allowed to go?What about other airspaces? In other words what are the basic "rules of the road"?I'm talking about flying on VATSIM.Yesterday I made a flight from Parham to Kenley [using the ASW28 in FSX] and brought up the default GPS to have a look and noticed I was about to enter Gatwick airspace so I went round it.I have a feeling that Gatwick would not have appreciated me flying overhead.!!!!SO what are the basic rules regarding glider navigation.I mean no disrespect but I don't, at this point, what to read a massive manual on this but can someone enlighten me or point me to where I can read up on some elementary rules.RegardsRichard
bruin 3
Richard,In real life in general glider pilots have to stick to the same VFR-regulations as their motorized colleges.Bert
B21 19
In real life you can't fly without the map showing where the controlled airspace is, and in general in a glider you stay out of it.Ian
