Peter Lürkens 30
Started as joining an MP session, in "mid air" what brought me to hazardous landing at Annemasse, because of insufficient altitude for reaching the next thermal. Lesson learned: Never join an MP session in mid air with a glider. Always go to airport at threshold. Of course this is a no-no, but what can you do with a glider on parking place, if slewing is disabled? From threshold you can at least call a tow.Fortunately I got off from Annemasse again by calling a tow plane. First thermals brought 10.000 ft, but than close to Mt Blanc I got a huge one the shot me up to 20000 ft, where I decided to make for Tallard (which in fact coudl have been already a final glide).Nevertheless, there were more galactic thermals on course which made it a bit faster.Cheers,Peter
