Oh shucks another runway more terminals that can only mean trouble lol.

More AI flying in slower FPS means higher spec rigs needed

Already have the $$$, it's a competent machine capible of handling the workload that I am waiting for! I don't think a new senery is needed to be done from scratch. But only updated with the changes. In this way, hopefully, we will have it in FS9 as well.

Cheers Shaun!! ;)

If you are looking to buy a new rig, as windows new os is coming out, and an improved i7 is on the way.

Besides, I think a major update will take plenty oftime and cost $$$ if they choose to do it.

The issue is that we cannot trust the real world to let us enjoy our new sceneries long enough. ;)

Quite true indeed! However, if Windows 7 is anything like Vista, I will go after the XP downgrade disc. I am hoping to move up to FSX this year as FS9 runns like a freakin CHARM on my new laptop!! I am getting 40 FPS at FSDT KJFK.

Aerosoft has gotta lot of work to do!!

All right, the new runway is opened. Is there any possibility to make an add-on for Mega Airport Frankfurt, WITH the new runway? Thanks a lot!

EDIT: We haven't got Windows 20, isn't it wonderful? Mr. hero93?

That's what Oli said about that in the german part of this forum. I'll give you a modified google translation:

As I said many times, is a new version of MAF, let's call it MAF 2012, planned. This will contain all the structural changes, such as the northwest runway extension, the A + finger and all the renovations at the B-terminal area, as well as the new buildings in the area. Certainly they will also included all the in their performance-optimizing knowledge they gained in the last 3 years, but this requires a complete redesign.

Yesterday the GAP team got the long-awaited confirmation is received that a new aerial image in a better resolution was created by the beginning of September that certainly will be available for them the next day, if then the licensing issues regarding the use have been clarified, at least the technical requirement for the new version finally in place. But first the two current projects need to be completed first, which are long awaited either

There are to be set known development times not days but months, I am still managed to get the GAP team away a few days of the current projects to build a small extension of the current MAF 2008 version, so the owners of this version can use the new runways, as well as the current taxiway layout with the new names until the release of the new MAF

The runway and the surrounding taxiways are made with FS board resources (AFCAD). The scenery will will be modified that connecting the new taxiways to the existing ones will be possible.

Moreover , I replaced the runway lights with 3D light, which will also allow FSX users to use WoAI Aircraft with ground shadows activated

AESLite is also adjusted in order not to conflict with the Taxiways.

Even though this temporary update is not a design technical highlight, but it shows quite impressive how the new runway there fits into the structure. It's fun to fly.

We are in the final stages, but I cannot say yet when it is available in the Update-database.

Great news about the interim update. Thanks so much for the details.
