Madrid Airport

Hi,

I don't get the airport name on the ATC comunication,ie I don't hear Madrid or Barajas in comunication between tower and aircraft.

Other thing is that I allways get visual approach, never ILS.

Any help please.

Hello Mustafa,

Even though you get a visual approach I dont think this stops you using the ILS System unless of course the runway doesn't have one.

As for the names not being used this happens to a few 3rd party airports so not sure whether its to do with using 3rd party AFCAD files.

From what I can tell from the charts and from searching on the internet, there is no ILS on either end of the runway. So it's visuals all the way.

P.S.: By the way, WillM, all four runways are CAT-III ILS (and you can see it at the game, and in the charts provided by aerosoft)

I downloaded this file from Avsim Madrid ILS and despite it saying it's for another, freeware, scenery - it works fine. AI aircraft now use ILS on all four runways.
