Release: Tahiti X

Recommended Posts

Before I decide to buy Tahiti is it possible to get a good picture how the airport looks ( a sort of birds's eye or frontal views).

I can only find photo's regarding small sections of the airport on the forums.

It would be an eye catcher to promote this scenery even more.

I have been to Tahiti several times so I would like to see a realistic copy in the scenery.

@FSXaddict & Kofi: Could you post your fps in Faa'a, your FSX scenery & traffic settings and your computer specs here?

Sure thing! I'll post a few screen shots if it helps. Let me know. Thanks for your help!

As you can see, I'm getting roughly 11 fps at Faa'a. It gets worse if I turn towards more buildings, and sometimes better if I'm flying out to sea obviously. I have 0 traffic/boats.

Here are my system specs:

* AMD 64x2 Dual-Core 2.66

* 4 Gig Ram

* 360 Hard drive/500 gig external

* Nvidia Geforce 8800 GT Overclocked

*Windows Vista Home Prem

I'll be upgrading to Intel's quad core in the very near future, and basically following Mathijs' guidelines to hardware as I highly trust his information.

Let me know if you have any suggestions on how to improve the frames, well other than the obvious of upgrading my cpu. Thanks!

Hello FSXaddict,

I've good fps in Tahiti but I'll look into this thing.

For the moment please reduce scenery complexity, water effects and/or autogen.

Should improve fps for sure.

I have the same problem !!

When flying out of the NTAA area I have 20 fps, but near NTAA (most of Tahiti island itself and Moorea) fps drops to 10 fps, even with reduced display settings.

But thanks for a nice scenery anyway - it looks marvelous !!

Dear Kok,

I dislike bare mountain of the FSX default scenery.

I think Tahiti's islands should be full of green.

Hi everybody!

Question to the development team: any chance to have a more realistic traffic? This would be fantastic. At least it would be nice if you could kick out the default taffic from FSX. It's ugly and frustrating in so a nice scene to have the unmarqued 747 or the Dash planes, which are really not relevant. Thanks in advance for your reply and your support ...

Dear Kok,

Is this a bug?

It's not the only one but there are several in a similar way.

No, it isn't a bug of Tahiti X.

It's a problem of FSX in general..some graphics cards could cause this probs when you've ground shadows turned on.

Thank you very much for your accurate indication.

I have turned off the ground shadows and the problem has solved!

Thanks again,

Kan-ichiro Fushihara

Sounds good.

To help boost the FPS around NTAA, maybe it would be useful to create separate, smaller airport bgl files for fine details. e.g. all the 3D animated people (nice, but not really necessary), easter island statues :P , baggage, vehicles, static a/c, etc. This way, the user could customize the content, rather than just one big file with everything included.

Cheers.

Many thanks to RStickMan22

Hey it's my video! Thanks for posting hope all liked. I am having problems updating to the 1.01 Tahiti. I go to the update section here at Aerosoft and enter my info in and it mentions update and the fixes with fps but no link to download. Is this released or something here soon that to be released. Thanks Again.

Hello, I'd like to know what is the function of this building, it's next from NTAA, on the west coast of Tahiti island. I have not find it on Google Earth, is it real ?
