enabling Navigraph Navdata for importing FP into the MCDU

Featured Replies

I'm not able to import a simbrief flightplan via the import-function in the CDU. There comes a message "invalid f-pln uplink" in the scratchpad. I guess it has to do with the kind of database; in the menu you can see the airac-cycle "AS2609001", instead of "NG....."(NG for NaviGraph). What can I do to import my navigraph-flightplans via the "init request" function? Where can I take these settings?

Thanks Kai

Hi Kai: please share the flightplan route string you are trying to uplink in here and I will gladly look into the code. At the same time and just to be sure: you have input your NG id into the EFB and/or authenticated the charts, correct?

Hi Ben,

here is the string: KCLT/01R N0455F400 JOJJO8 DOOGE Q93 HEVAN DCT BONNT VEECK5 KORD/10C.

You meant SimBrief-ID surely (not a Navigraph-ID?) and the charts are authenticated, yes.

Kai

By the way: the flightplan is displayed in the EFB in a correctly way, so settings should be okay imho. Only the CDU refuse this🤔.

Just tried everything I could find on informations: nothing helped. Where can I change settings regarding data incoming into the CDU (Navdata pro vs. Navigraph)? Is it switchable at all?

No..there is only one official provider of navdata. Nothing for you to do there. If, as you said you have input your SB ID, authenticated the charts and they also show up in the EFB. I have just checked the import of the route and for me it worked fine, but I am not using the same navdata as you, so will have to recheck with that. As soon I have done that I will come back to you.

Even with the most recent navdata I don't have any issue with the flightplan uplink from SimBrief in the MCDU: please get into the work folder of the aircraft, zip those two folders after you have tried the uplink unsuccessfully and send them over to me via pm.

Hi:

currently you have to link your NG subscription in Aerosoft One outside the simulator. Then you can update the Navdata from there, as well.

since the update i'm stuck on old airac, anyway to reset this? my SB is entered in efb and NG is linked in aerosoft one.
Had to update in library as well.

Ben, how would that work when the aircraft is released for consoles and cloud?

Mathijs

Hi Mathijs:

well...currently it is not but rest assured that an additional in-sim solution is in the works, so as soon we move the aircraft to other platforms you will be able to update navdata outside AO as well.
