How goes it!! Summer is here and people are traveling all over the place. Passenger loads are running at about 90% on most flights and I am sure there is a lot of work to get moving people.

I have a different idea for this month's contest - I am going to allow for a scene which will allow for a maximum of 9 images which MUST tell a story which you must provide some context for images provided. Yes, my examples usually have more than what the contest rules state - but this is just to give some ideas as to what can be done.

DAL3112: Atlanta to Dallas Forth Worth beginning at dusk
Simulator: MSFS 2024
Aircraft: iniBuilds Airbus 350
Scenery: KATL and KDFW

Pushing back from Gate F7

Taxiing to RWY 26L

Departing RWY 26L - KATL

Climbing to FL400 - next waypoint STNGA

Descending into KDFW

For this contest   - All participants are allowed 9 images to define your "Story Line".
 

Users are allowed to change their posted image up until the time frame allowing you to do so expires.  If you fail to post an image based on the theme of the month, it is very likely that the image will not be considered during "judgment day".
 

This a multi-sim platform for your "FLIGHT" images as we welcome FS2004, FSX, Prepar3D, MSFS 2020, MSFS 2024, X-Plane 9 - 12, DCS, Infinite Flight and even AeroFly images.

Is it "I am going to allow for a scene which will allow for a maximum of 9 images"?

or

"All participants are ONLY allowed 1 image"?

What the screenshot contest administrator is saying that ONLY for this month July 2026 Screenshot contest, he allows no more than nine screenshots per contestant's post on one important stipulation that the post must contain story telling such as explaining the purpose of the flight and explaining on each of nine screenshots.

I love this new idea BUT it must be TOUGH for me as I always average FORTY-FIVE screenshots per flight report and it is going to be hard for me to cut to NINE screenshots for single flight report.

The administrator's last paragraph citing limit of one screenshot is unfortunate oversight as it is common template for all months of the Aerosoft screenshot contest that he forgot to remove for this specific month of July.

LH594 from Frankfurt EDDF to Abuja DNAA and on to Port Harcourt DNPO in the Niger Delta!

I last flew this route in P3D – most recently on 29 December 2021, when I was still flying the Aerosoft A330. Yes, it was straight out of the box in P3D; the sceneries back then were by Raheem Adeleke. Ah well, times change.

Now that a good scenery pack for DNPO was released at the start of the year, I was able to fly the route in January using the iniBuilds A340!

So the day before, I shuttled from my home base, MUC, to Frankfurt. Yes, for me, FRA is simply a necessary evil. But hey, there’s nothing for it.

Then the time had come: flight booked, flight plan drawn up. And loading up in Frankfurt!

Quite a bit of cargo, 215 passengers. The pusher’s already standing by – that’s the way to do it.

After we’ve been pushed back and struggled through the queue at the holding point for Runway 07C, we’re immediately given clearance to take off from Runway 18. We head straight for the ANEKI departure.

No sooner are we in the air than we emerge from the perpetual grey into the sunrise:

After five hours in the air, there isn’t much of the sandy desert to be seen anymore. Instead: dry savannah.

And then the time has slowly come to bring the first leg to a close:

Here we go, on the final approach to misty, 37°C, hazy Abuja!

We’ll leave the Usuma Reservoir to our left and lock onto the localiser.

After a wonderful landing and a long roll-out – we want to keep the brakes cool, after all; we don’t have anything like brake fans, and we’re due to head on to PHC soon – we’ve arrived at our gate, C2. Passengers off, passengers on, a little more fuel added – we don’t need much for the roughly 45-minute flight to Port Harcourt.

Nevertheless, we take off from Abuja on time once again.

On our way to the runway, we have to taxi behind a Heston A320 – we’d seen one of those in service for Condor last year too. Funny!

The flight to Port Harcourt is an entertaining one. We’ve barely taken off before we have to start planning the approach, and shortly afterwards begin the descent. We spent a whole five minutes at our cruising altitude of FL320, as recommended by SimBrief.

No wonder, then, that we’re already on approach to Port Harcourt again shortly afterwards.

The approach is via RNAV to Runway 21 – why didn’t we get an ILS signal? Perhaps it’s out of order.

The weather radar shows us a few showers in the area. A glance out of the window confirms this.

During the approach, we fly over the town of Obukwu; a little further on are large oil palm plantations.

After a quiet landing, we first have to find our gate – well, there isn’t much choice anyway.

A shower has just passed through, but at least our passengers will be able to leave the plane with dry feet.

And we’ve arrived in Port Harcourt – a major city with a population of over 3 million.

Originally, the coal trade was an important source of income – but now oil and gas are gushing from the ground, making Port Harcourt something of a hub for the Nigerian oil industry. As a result, the port is used primarily to ship palm oil, crude oil and timber – as well as some coal – to destinations around the world.

And although Port Harcourt was long one of Nigeria’s richest cities, it is considered rather unsafe, which is why many international companies have kept their staff in strictly secure compounds.

A touchdown shot would have been nice but still, absolutely freekin' superb Matthias!

Shalom and greetings all my pals,

Presenting famous CYHY Hay River/Merlyn Carter Airport to CYZF Yellowknife Airport cargo shuttle route which is usually done by Buffalo Airways DC-3/C-47 Dakota or C-46 Commando but because of Chanukah and Christmas week which requires more cargo loads due to holiday gifts and festive foods, Buffalo Airways is forced to switch to bigger DC-4 with more cargo load space.

Taxiing to short of runway 13 waiting for another Buffalo Airways DC-4 to land first



Suddenly, clear weather has turned to unexpected snowstorm but luckily for the arriving Buffalo Airways DC-4, it manages to land before snowstorm hit. HOWEVER, you can see my plane in background being forced to continue holding short of runway 13 waiting for snowstorm to clear out.



Finally the weather clears out as my DC-4 is backtracking on beginning of runway 13 to hold position awaiting for airport tower controllers to issue take off clearance



Airport spotting photographers can tell that take off clearance is granted from seeing exciting snow blowing as the DC-4 begins to start take off run



Airborne on climb to 10,000 ft spewing white condensation trails due to freezing subzero temperature weather



On final approach to runway 33 during extremely windy conditions which requires constant throttle power changes to maintain stable approach speed that results into awesome engine smoke spewing



Seconds from touchdown on runway 33



Touchdown that results into blowing snow dust



Braking down on the icy runway is NOT easy as you do not want to see the plane spin out!

Might I suggest you "proactively" find another host for your photos as flight sim is a global affair IMHO.

Edit* Actually scrub that. I've just found out what VPN's are for.

Nice set Darryl. However due to the lack of cockpit shots Matthias is the winner for me.
