A340-600 Pro Model Issues

Featured Replies

Hello,

Firstly, I would like to thank the Aerosoft and ToLiSS teams for creating this wonderful, niche bird! It is one of my favorites and I can't wait to take it on more flights. I also wish to thank you for allowing us as a community to voice our concerns/questions regarding your projects as it opens the door to more improvements and company-consumer transparency.

I am writing this to bring attention to the Aerosoft team, some modelling issues I've found with the new A346. The first Issue that I noticed immediately are the multitude of cabin windows that should not be present on the outside, but instead plugged. I have attached reference photos for your review, and circled in red, the windows that appear to be incorrect. I also have provided a closer view of what the windows appear to have inside of them (glitched to show blank wall of what would normally be lavatories/crew usage.

The other big thing that I noticed with the A346 was the incorrect model for the overwing exit door. In the real-world, the A346 has an overwing exit similarly to the aft wing exit door of the A330's/A342/3's. It is missing a port-hole, along with the interior and exterior decals, showing how to operate the door. I have attached reference photos of the interior and exterior, with both sim and real-world to reference.

My goal in this is not to unproductively critisize, but rather bring to the attention of your team, places that could be improved for the sake of the community and those interested in becoming apart of it. I know I'm in the minority when I stress the visuals so much. Even so, experiencing products such as from Fenix, iniBuilds, iFly, and so many others, the bar has been set high, and ever little thing counts. Of course, the systems and flight dyamics, are great, but the visuals could be better in a lot of places.

I understand that some things have already been brought to your attention, so I apologize if these things are being repeated here. I thank you once again, and hope that you see this/fix these things in a future update.

Thank you!

Sadly, these arent the only issues. I wish the team also took a look at the engine cowlings, specifically the eng. inlets' shape is wrong, it isnt completely flat like we have in the model, instead it should have a slightly oval shape. Wing leading edge/slats are not metallic like we have now, and are also segmented + cockpit screens feel out of place, too small, dont have any glare. At this pricepoint things like this should not be an issue.

Besides the great systems, there are a lot of model issues in this release. Especially if you look closer. The proportions of the nose section, nose gear and nose gear doors seem quite off if you compare them with real world pictures. Also the trailing edge of the wings and especially the flaptrackfairings.

I believe they mentioned in one of their previous interviews all the issues with the visuals were already being addressed in a future update.... Honestly, I am grateful for these smaller cosmetic issues being the only real issue with the addon. Overall the actual simulation is amazing and for that I can be grateful!
