VR click spots not working

Featured Replies

Dear Aerosoft-Team,

at least for me, the Aircraft is currently unusable in VR.

The clickspots do not work correctly, once in VR mode.

Especially the FCU ist completely unresponsive - but also many switches on the overhead and pedestal do not work correctly.

Also the FMS in completely unresponsive in VR.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Or is there anyone, that is using the A346 in VR without issues at the moment?

Thanks for taking it up and BR

I have exactly the same problems in VR, but only in MSFS 2024.

In MSFS 2020 everything works fine.

I hope they will fix this error soon.

Yes. I am also using MSFS2024 SU5, latest Beta.

Read in other forums, that it is the same in SU4, stable built.

So, probably a general MSFS2024 issue. Really frustrating, as it is unplayable like this in VR. And I believe there are quite some VR pilots around.

Hope this gets fixed soon.

Same for me.

I thought this is due to the SDK changes regarding event handling in SU5 beta, but if you say it's also in SU4 then it must be some other cause. I also had this in a few other aircraft actually.

Probably not so easy for addon developers to handle 20/24 compatibility and frequent sdk changes for something which takes years to develop.

support said it is known and will be fixed in upcoming updates, the question is just when this will happen.

VR still not working in MSFS 2024.

Nothing is clickable in the cockpit and it has still not been fixed with the latest update.

From my point of view, this should be a big disclaimer on the product description until it has been fixed.

Customers should know before buying, that this airplane is INOP for VR users.

For me, this is not a minor bug, but more like like excluding an entire platform of users.

Also wonder, if I can get a refund.

I am only flying in VR and in this state, the product is just not working as advertised.

Yes, even after the patch in v1.01, it still does not work :-(

I am a hardcore VR simmer and had really been looking forward to this aircraft. It was not apparent that VR would not work. I think this will unfortunately hit many users hard. Good thing I still have the other A340... The A340 is my number one aircraft, my absolute favorite. It would be great if the VR community were taken into account as well.

Regarding the previous poster: yes, I have already been thinking about a refund too. Shall we give them a chance first?

Or is there going to be no VR support anytime soon, even with the upcoming patches? If that is the case, then I would ask for an official statement.

Is this forum moderated at all?

I wonder, why there is not even an answer, if this is a know issue and if it is being worked on?

Yes, I’ve just gone through and summarized a lot of posts. My Impression is that only about 3 – 5% of them contain any feedback. That’s honestly a bit embarrassing. I really didn’t expect there to be little to no response at all. Very user friendly, here... :-(

Yes, and even with the latest SU5 release it is not working, no feedback, not even an information on whether the bug is beeing analyzed / tracked / whatsoever.

@Rafi [Aerosoft] If you read this? Where can VR users refund until this is fixed?

I just had my first flight in this bird today, VR only. (Reverb G2 through WMR, in case you're wondering)

I certainly found everything clickable, despite some mouse cursor alignment issues making some switches a bit tricky.

So fortunately (or unfortunately for you guys) it's not a completely widespread issue.

Hi thanks, for your reply.

Sounds encouraging.

Which SIM do you use?

MSFS 2020

MSFS 2024 SU4

MSFS 2024 SU5

Thanks...

Still wonder, why there is no official reply / feedback at all?

I am running 2024, Standard SU4.

Hope you get some official feedback soon, as a new user of an aerosoft product (and forum) its not very encouraging to see..

Hello,

I can confirm that we are aware of this issue, and that it has been logged in our internal system prior to this post. Torsten at Toliss is working on getting his VR kit up and running so he can work on the issue.

I am sorry there was not a response to this thread sooner. With the increasing amount of forum posts we are getting its becoming increasingly harder to not miss individual posts, though we are working on this!
