Since @kroswyndand the Aerosoft management are too busy with their festive holiday celebrations, I thought I would help them by creating this two month screenshot contest as seen on the subject heading.

 

The theme is NASTY SNOWSTORM.

 

There are TWO specific rules regarding the nasty snowstorm theme.  If a plane is on airborne, the plane must be accompanies by heavy snowing.  If a plane is on ground,  the plane must be accompanied by BOTH heavy snowing and lots of snow on airport ground.

 

When @kroswyndcomes back from holiday celeibration, I hope he would accept my idea and use authorized pin function for this post because I cannot find pin function for this post.

 

The usual rules of the Aerosoft screenshot contest also apply to this two month contest.

 

Here are some examples (yes I automatically disqualified myself from this two month screenshot contest by posting many examples of screenshots)

Contest Rules!!!

This contest has specific Rule requirements:  Failure to comply will result in the entry not being considered.

Users are allowed to change their posted image up until the time frame allowing you to do so expires.  If you fail to post an image based on the theme of the month, it is very likely that the image will not be considered during "judgment day".

 

This a multi-sim platform for your "FLIGHT" images as we welcome FS2009, FSX, Prepar3D, MSFS 2020, MSFS 2024, X-Plane 9 - 12, DCS, Infinite Flight and even AeroFly images.

I wish I was enjoying the holidays but unfortunately I have been busy at work (late nights and early mornings - screwed up schedule), although I did have Christmas Day off.

This picture was taken exactly five years ago to the day. 

 

After an afternoon flight to London Heathrow, we arrived back home in Munich pretty much on time, greeted by beautiful snow flurries.

My screnshot shows a Finnair ERJ-190 arriving from Helsinki, taxiing to the gate at Rovaniemi Airport during a heavy snowstorm. Airport operations were working hard to keep the taxiways clear despite the continuous snow accumulation.

Mine is a Zurich arrival in not such a heavy snowstorm. Still low vis but I thought the snow was lovely.

Even more lovely was that I was in a Private MD-87. What a beauty.

Congratulations on winning February's Screenshot contest. This was an awesome capture of a snowing environment while taxiing to the gate. The low visibility and the banks of snow at the side of the taxiway helped to show remnants of the snow event.
