Refinement of engine start animation

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I'd like to suggest an improvement for something that I think is a thing ever since the CRJ existed.

The animation of the engine fans during startup is way too fast. It almost looks like the rotation speed is not bound to the N1 but the N2 value, as shortly after engaging the starter, the fans appear to be  at full speed within one second.

In real life they have a lot more inertia and require a certain N2 speed to even get going, which is correctly reflected by the N1 value on the EICAS, but not visually represented by the fan model.

Same when stopping the engines, the fanblades keep spinning for a long time while N1 already indicates 0. It again looks like they stop spinning with N2 reaching 0.

Maybe you can consider some refinement?

Thank you and kind regards!
