Administrator Heinz Flichtbeil 1695 Posted June 19 Administrator Share Posted June 19 Hello, do you have installed the SAM Plugin? This is reqired. You can do it also with Aerosoft One (menu Dependencies). Install the SAM for XP12. Or if you don't want SAM or if SAM will not work, then you can install the Fallback library: https://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/177522-flyagi-sam3-fallback-library/ Greets Heinz Link to comment https://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/180583-limc-xp12/#findComment-1128234 Share on other sites
Matty Man 1
Hello, I installed SAM 3 for XP12 and nothing.. The sim says to take a look at the log.txt and I founded this: DSF canceled due to missing art assets, file=Custom Scenery/Aeosoft - LIMC Milan Malpensa - 00 - Airport/Earth nav data/+40+000/+45+008.dsf, err=15 (dsf_ErrCanceled). 0:00:23.961 E/SYS: +------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 0:00:23.961 E/SYS: | C'è stato un problema durante il caricamento dello scenario: 0:00:23.961 E/SYS: | Custom Scenery/Aeosoft - LIMC Milan Malpensa - 00 - Airport/ 0:00:23.961 E/SYS: | Lo scenario potrebbe non venire visualizzato in modo corretto. 0:00:23.961 E/SYS: | Verificate il file log.txt per informazioni dettagliate sull'errore. 0:00:23.961 E/SYS: | (io_dsf.cpp:1330) 0:00:23.961 E/SYS: +------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 0:00:23.961 E/SCN: WARNING: got error on DSF load for scenery file 45, 8, Custom Scenery/Aeosoft - LIMC Milan Malpensa - 00 - Airport/ 0:00:23.961 I/SCN: DSF load time: 55947 for file Global Scenery/Global Airports/Earth nav data/+40+000/+45+008.dsf (0 tris, 0 skipped for 0.0 m^2) 0:00:23.961 I/SCN: DSF load time: 3427377 for file Global Scenery/X-Plane 12 Global Scenery/Earth nav data/+40+000/+45+009.dsf (459461 tris, 16 skipped for -7536.4 m^2) 0:00:23.961 I/SCN: DSF load time: 2414811 for file Custom Scenery/Aeosoft - LIMC Milan Malpensa - 01 - Mesh/Earth nav data/+40+000/+45+008.dsf (339714 tris, 46 skipped for -51951.3 m^2) Please login to display this image. Verified Developer FlyAgi 587 Posted June 19 Verified Developer Share Posted June 19 In your scneery_packs.ini the mesh is positioned on top of the airport - put the mesh to the bottom of the file and it should work. In general, if you see no 3D objects at all, it's caused by a mesh having higher priority than the actual scenery. Verified Developer FlyAgi 587 Posted June 19 Verified Developer Share Posted June 19 By the log you still don't have SAM3 installed, the error that now shows up is related to that so please installe SAM3 (you can do that in Aerosoft One or manually here). Without SAM3 installed the scenery will not load properly. Matty Man 1
Will try that in some hours.. Thanks for the patience and I'll let you know Link to comment https://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/180583-limc-xp12/#findComment-1128247 Share on other sites
Verified Developer Solution FlyAgi 587 Posted June 19 Verified Developer Solution Share Posted June 19 You are on steam version of X-Plane by the log, is that correct? In this case SAM3 won't work correctly so do the following: Go to "X-Plane 12/Resources/Plugins/SAM/lib" folder Copy "SAM_Library" folder (click on it and press ctrl + C) Go to "X-Plane 12/Custom Scenery" folder Paste "SAM_Library" here (press ctrl + V) Now you should have "SAM_Library" in your Custom Scenery folder The scenery should then start properly (if you got the mesh placed correctly as explained above) but you don't have SAM functionality, no moving Jetways and stuff like that. To fix that, please install OpenSAM from this link. There click on the "openSAM-XP12-v4.1.2.zip " to download that file and unpack it, then move the plugin into your "X-Plane 12/Resources/plugins" folder.
