Der Merowinger 169
hello, just tried to install the latest Honeycomb software for my FS2024. I recognized that by using the CRJ no lights are lightning in the Bravo and my idea was to install this software. But it is not possible; I get an errormessage, see screenshots. My FS and communityfolder are not installed in C:\appdata\local etc... but in E:. If this should be the reason why please give me advice how to manage this matter. Aerosoft SimWare 826 Posted April 14 Aerosoft Share Posted April 14 The driver does not allow yet to choose path of installation. If your simulator isn't in the default location, the driver will not install. Aerosoft BenBaron 301 Posted April 14 Aerosoft Share Posted April 14 Hi, what is actually important for the installer is the path to the UserCfg.opt file, which right now cannot be different from what the installer is expecting for MSFS2024, by default. From this file, it will read-out the path to your community folder. The file should either be here in case of a Microsoft Store install: Please login to display this image. Or here, in case of a Steam install: Please login to display this image. You also have to install the application for the same user that MSFS2024 was installed for. Please double check where the file is located on your system. 1 Link to comment https://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/180216-honeycomb-softwareinstallation-in-fs2024/#findComment-1126853 Share on other sites
Der Merowinger 169
Hello Ben, my userconfig.opt is located in the default path for the Store variant. The path, where FS2024 is installed, is different. My communityfolder is located in the FS2024-folder. Everything is working without any problems with this configuration. Other addons or apps, like contrail, OC,simmarket or Aerosoft One are recognizing the communityfolder well and without any problems too. Kai Please login to display this image. Aerosoft SimWare 826 Posted April 15 Aerosoft Share Posted April 15 Thanks Ruud. This is indeed a way to start it manually in case the simulator isn't installed in the default location. Der Merowinger 169
I don't understand what "it" is? The driversoftware is an execution-file only, meant for installing.
