LIMC (MSFS 2024 Compatibility) .... When?

I did  copied My comment from Announcement &previews

Hi
I'll try to make it clear enough as possible with my English limitation to What caused the delay.

When I started the LIMC for msfs2020 there was no information on MSFS2024 so in my Agreement  with Aerosoft The MSFS2024 was not included as a continuity project.

But right after the release the MSFS2024 I did start to convert my LIMC but the first new SDK for the 2024 version was to be  polite was not very friendly. so in my youth age then 77 it become impossible and to be honest I want to quit. and more then that  I came across that there is two other LIMC for MSFS2024 well so why doing it again

Just after the last SDK that it's much more friendly and with the help of Aerosoft team I manage to...

one more very important think We haven't been in a normal situation in my country  for two years And it doesn't help me to concentrate.

now I hope that my massage made it  clear so please Enjoy

Thanks for understanding

David

David,

thank you for the explanation. The thing is that those two LIMC airports are not as good as yours. I've just seen that the 2024 native LIMC update is available and thank you and Aerosoft for keeping the promise!

Hi there!

Just bought the now available scenery for LIMC and tried on it.
Now unfortunatly instandly spotted a couple of issues.

E. g. there are missing holdshort markers on the ground. Furthermore service vehicles are blocking roads, causing users to crash into it when driving along.

Maybe some adjustments are possible.

Edit: Maybe there can be a bit more love invested in terminal 2?

Hey guys, I have bought Aerosoft's LIMC yesterday and it looks very good (version 1.0.5revA according to Aerosoft One). But I am having a problem when it's dark: The airport seems to be really dark - when I am sitting at Gate 605, it is looking like this (see picture).

So the aircraft can barely be seen. This is totally different for example at EDDF (Aerosoft Mega Airport).

Is there anything I need to change regarding settings?

Thanks

Stefan

Hey Stefan,

yeah, the night lighting is imho the weakest point of this scenery. We can only hope David improves that eventually.

Thank you @David Rosenfeldfor your effort for making the scenery available in MSFS2024 now 🙏I really enjoyed my first flight yesterday evening into LIMC. You did a fine job! Love it!

@David RosenfeldThanx to bring this airport to MSFS2024!

I just have 2 remarks to help you out!

1- At runway 35R there i a train flying at around 800ft. It's clearly visible on landing

2- At the same runway 35R, at the beginning of the runway there are edge lights from the taxiway in the middle of the runway and taxiway

Looking forward to your update!!!

There is also no ATIS Frequency in this scenery, so BATC can´t use it.

Thanks for the report. I can confirm this is indeed missing and we'll add it to the list of fixes within the next version.

Cheers,

Amos

Apart from the missing ATIS, there's also...

1) a missing clearance frequency

2) broken approach data (BATC can't use any STAR or approach)
3) Airport name in the data is "LIMC" (should be "Milano-Malpensa")

Honestly those are pretty bad errors and should not happen with an Aerosoft scenery.

... and the ILS for runway 35R is totally miscalibrated, leading to a touchdown *before* the runway.

To everyone who went ahead and picked up the FS24 version, thanks for submitting constructive feedback ... overall a disappointing list of omissions and errors ... will reconsider purchasing after these issues have been fixed

Exactly, lets remember, November 2024 ...

Quote,"MSFS 2024 compatibility: An update will follow in the next few weeks" turned out to be over 12 months later!

We are working hard on the update, took us some time to solve the frequencies issue but I'm glad to say it is looking much better then yesterday :D

Also the ILS issues seems to be solved and we'll get it tested in the next couple of days to test and confirm.

Malpensa got a major apron update in the last couple of month that we were unaware of. Unfortunately, we based our AFCAD on outdated data and now that we have up-to-date data include recent pictures we can give you all the airport in much better condition. The data that we are using now is dated 24-OCT-25 (not even two months old).

Not sure if Luca is in this forums and seeing this post but huge thanks to him for providing us with all those changes and on-site pictures!

Release date? Probably the first week of January. I will try to upload some screenshots of the new apron in the upcoming days.

We are wishing you all happy holidays, enjoy your time off at Christmas and New Year!

Cheers,

Amos

Hey guys,

Sorry for the late update, the list of changes and fixes was long enough for me to decide to take a few more weeks to get everything in place. I'm now aiming to send Aerosoft the final version on January 26th.

In the meantime, enjoy some screenshots from today as well as the changelog for version 1.6.0:

Airport data - Fix the comm frequencies missing from the ATC menu
Airport data - Fix the nav frequencies missing
AFCAD - Rework the terminals (1 and 2) area to bring it to January 2026 status
AFCAD - Rework the cargo area to bring it to January 2026 status
Apron - Add Q-point markings at the entire airport (those can be use with GSX as aircraft release point)
Apron - Add missing GSE around the airport
Apron - Rework the taxi signs (from default ASOBO to custom-made)
Apron - Rework night lighting around the airport. Light poles were moved to align with their real-life positions.
Apron - Fix Wigwag animation
Runways - Threshold marking fixes
Runways - Fix transparency of runway numbers
Ground - Fix all terraforming issues around Terminal 1
Ground - Fix train tunnel
Train - Relocate it from the skies to the ground ;)
Train - Fix animation issues
Misc - Passengers added inside Terminal 1 and in the public area of Terminal 2
Misc - Cars added to the public parking

Thanks,
David

Hi David,

I must admit, I was extremely disappointed when I bought this scenery a few weeks ago but it seems many of my grievances are being addressed in this end-of-Jan update. Will the night-lighting be improved on terminal buildings without interiors? They currently look really bad. There also appear to be LOD issues that make some buildings look like empty, windowless boxes at relatively close range.

I made a review in the official MSFS forums. I must warn you: it's not very flattering...
