And I thought, the very very very famous aerosoft screenshot contest is dead. Somebody brought new life into it. May I ask one question? Open for everyone, msfs 2024 (?!), xp11, and down to p3dv4.5, as I understand the requirements. But this is Norway as you see it. Can you reveal the platform which you've used for this quite brilliant shot, p3dv6? Thank you for reviving the screenshot competition, which is a good old (!) aerosoft tradition. And let me see if I'm good enough to participate again... Regarding the screenshot contest it was never dead, just that depending on the IRL workload I may not get around to posting a monthly contest. We welcome All entries as we enjoy seeing the talent among screenshot participants.... Creativity options are endless. 1 Link to comment https://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/179481-decembers-screenshot-contest-winter-ops/#findComment-1124435 Share on other sites

That's exactly the platform that I have used for my EFRO Rovaniemi Intl picture, to participate here in the December Contest! Astonishing, what such an 'old' platform ... (the 4.5 was published back then in ... 2019?) is good for, assumed that you use rather a quad core cpu (like me) than a dual core cpu . And who on earth today would come up with dual core cpus. Definitely not me, but people who think that they can sell an OLD digital version of my home airport. Read these sys reqs and laugh, together with me: https://secure.simmarket.com/justsim-duesseldorf-airport-eddl-v.2.1-p3d-v4.4-(de_13537).phtml Back on topic. Thanks for the fast info, so, what do we say, do not update to p3dv5 all too fast, if you own alot of orbx for v4.5 ... Dear greatings and, Guten Rutsch as we say here on EDDL, Lohausen Intl airport. PS: Yes, I've seen that between October 24 and December 24, there has been a little gap in the screenshot competition history. Well. I don't yet own the reputation again that I owned when I became an aerosoft customer back then in the year 2010. [Which should've been 'a green zero', as far as I remember.] Otherwise I'd say, let me host the January 2025 contest. I've won it once (!), I know how to distinguish bad entries from good entries. And you could go on holidays for four weeks. But not with minus14. That simply does not fit to almost 15 years of voluntary engagement. This image captures the theme quite well - Turboprops Rule!!! - LOL - operations in poor visibility - visibility of the smoke trails from the engines - a faint capture of the buildings and parked aircraft in the background - nothing does it better than a turboprop Email to follow shortly. 1 Link to comment https://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/179481-decembers-screenshot-contest-winter-ops/#findComment-1124752 Share on other sites

Please login to display this image. You've won the contest! Dear congratulations. So, I also tried to participate with a propeller, but obviously too small, not four engined, but single engined... But, now that you've won, let me know, it is a four engined turbine propeller, and I know that a beautiful bird like yours is included when you buy p3dv4.5.. Lockheed C-130H Hercules, 4 four-bladed propellers (definitely not six-bladed)? https://www.jetphotos.com/photo/11571267 If that's true, then I'll bite myself a little bit into my ass. Because I've also seen the virtual Cockpit of a C-130, as an owner of p3d... But you're the one who has made a beautiful landing of it. And now, the winner gets... a warm handshake? I can say, when I have won the aerosoft Shaun Fletcher screenshot contest back then, that was a little bit different... Früher war alles besser. *twinkle smiley* One of the things to bear in mind with the screenshot contest is that depending on the theme things like creativity of the image and or the story behind the shot go into the decision making for the winner. I will agree the contest is a bit different from the good old days when Shaun Fletcher hosted. However running a theme base contest does provide some stunning images but it would appear that most folks a just interest in posting a basic shot, which is doable here as well when there is an "Anything Goes" month.
