Mega Airport Frankfurt issue in MSFS2024 :(

Featured Replies

Hi!

Anyone got any idea on what's going on here and how to solve this? This is the P taxiway on Aerosoft Mega Airport Frankfurt in MSFS2024.

Regards,

Stefan

Hello!
From the screenshots it looks like you have multiple different Frankfurt sceneries installed, sadly Asobo hasn't included a way for you to disable sceneries being streamed.
So to make sure Aerosoft Frankfurt has the highest priority you'll need to add an xml file called "Content.xml" to your msfs LocalCache folder.

for the MS store this is found here,    %localappdata%\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\

for Steam the folder is found here,    %appdata%\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\

I've attached an example xml where you can see that I've changed the priority between the Aerosoft and Default EDDF scenery included in the premium deluxe version of MSFS.
(If you have any other Frankfurt sceneries installed add those packages to the list as well and give them a priority similar to the asobo package.)

<Priorities>
    <Package name="asobo-airport-eddf-frankfurt" priority="-100" Active="True"/>
    <Package name="aerosoft-airport-eddf-frankfurt" priority="0" Active="True"/>
</Priorities>

There is at the moment another easier way to solve the conflicts between the two airports: To exclude the Asobo Standard EDDF Airport from streaming / downloading = Create a new empty folder in your Community folder called "asobo-airport-eddf-frankfurt".

Hello,

my textures in MSFS2024 (1.2.7.0) looks not good.

I have "deactivated" all other EDDF scenerys in the library.

What can I do?

Please try the solution@Hanse suggested, it’s also the official solution that I got from Aerosoft and it did the trick! 👍

Why should all this be done manually? If this is not done automatically with AS One then the scenery simply is not compatible and is falsely advertised. I also disabled the Asobo and Gaya Frankfurt streaming instances within the streamed content section in the sim - same issues. Also missing approach lights, fences, objects and wrong elevation data.

For whatever reason I discovered I had TWO Aerosoft EDDF sceneries activated in my content.xml file...
Removed one line and will try again.
I also had the corrupted circular yellow  Lufthansa logos on buildings...

Did a full reinstall and made sure all other versions of EDDF are turned off. Verified content.xml file.

Yellow Lufthansa logo on gates B22 to B28 do not display correctly. They display fine on all other locations.

Product was installed from the Contrail web shop via their installer. I think this needs to be looked at and have opened a call with the Help Desk.

Thanks

Same problem here, both TWY P and the Lufthansa logos at B22 - B28 are not displayed correctly, exactly as in the screenshots above. And no, I do not have any other EDDF sceneries activated.

Thanks for the tip regarding the content.xml

it solved my issues!

I did everything, even reinstalled FS2024 completely new and created empty asobo-eddf folder in the community menu. Nothing helped. I always got bad textures and simply unloaded totally blurry runways at every landing.

in the content.xml Asobo’s Frankfurt airport was set on „active“. It seems the xml produces then inference issues. I put the Asobo streamed Frankfurt it on systemdisabled (just copy/paste the text from any disabled one). For some reason there are like 4 Frankfurt airports. 2 from Asobo and 2 from Aerosoft (for fs20 and fs24).

however. Just disabled everything default and keep Aerosoft as active. Now everything is fine.

this applies to other 3rd party airports too. Check whenever it is not correctly disabled in the xml file.
