Lights stopped working on my Honeycomb Bravo after downloading MSFS 2024

Featured Replies

I purchased the Honeycomb Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie, and am also having issues with the lights not working. In addition to that, i have issues with certain buttons not toggling on and off correctly. I tried downloading the drivers from the website, but i get an error that the path doesnt exist. I've never owned MSFS2020, so I'm not able to use the JSON file because i dont have the "arch_bridge" thing.

  • Well Folks, thanks to our developpers, the Honeycomb Lights driver for MSFS2024 is now available ! Final tests have been performed as we said and is works as it should. Thank you for your patience

  • The driver is done. The programmers are currently finalizing the installer. Should be all good for this week.

  • I got this working for my install. Do the following if you already installed the AFC_Bridge in msfs20. I believe you have otherwise you will not have lights working for msfs20.   Go to the l

Here is the update from the developpers :
There still are a few problems with the C++ redistributable packages but they are on it
I may have more news this evening.
Not much more to tell you at the moment. I will however keep you all informed whatever the news are.

The .json file worked for me as well. Only issue I see is that the Anti Ice light is constantly lit. (Even on airplanes that don't have Anti Ice.

Hi Madfred:

the ANTI-ICE LED is tied to the pitot heat...so..as soon you switch on the pitot heat, the light should go out.

I am really mad about the honeycomb in general. The product is very expensive and they dont care about anything. After 3 weeks they should be able to throw a new compatible driver for the MFS24. I am disappointed... I am thinking to send the product back and stop this madness, else i will lose my mind and throw this piece of garbage where it belongs. I cant believe that we as customers have to wait for a driver from a other company, like in this case Aerosoft. Honeycomb should be ashamed.

By the way, i think mine is not working properly.

I am trying to set a new Profile for the Boeing, so i removed the stuff for GA and added Speed brake lever; then 2x Thrust lever and then the Flaps lever. So it works fine so far. But there on the thrust levers are also 2 small levers. In the MFS24 sim those two small levers are not recognized at all, and the red button on the first thrust lever is also not being recognized. What is the issue? I looked a lot of YouTube videos about that, some were for MFS2020 and even some new videos for MFS2024. When those guys in the video click on Search by Input and they move the small lever, it shows there and they can bind it. In my case, it feels like those small levers are completely disconnected. I tested all 4 thrust levers, not single one of them seems to work. At least i expect to show up when search by input.

How does it work in your case? Is that a MFS2024 bug or does it need the driver? Or i should send it back?

I found a image that represent exactly my setup, look at it to understand what i mean:

First of all, the driver only manages the lights.

For the rest, the Bravo is like any other USB devices : axes and buttons that need to be assigned by the user in the Controls Setting of the simulator or via a 3rd party utility such as AxisAndOhs or SpadNext.

Please read this post :

As for the buttons not being recognized, please first check if there isn't an electrical problem.

The buttons should be recognized as inputs in the Windows Joystick utility :

Ok i will go through what you have wrote here. I use a powered USB hub 2.0. I also have a other powered 3.0 Hub. Some product cant handle 3.0 and some do. But if its a electrical issue, then the whole honeycomb throttle should not work too...

I mean it could be a broken wire issue or loose contact specific to one or more switches.
That is why when such a problem occurs, it is always best to go back to the basics and check if the unit is simply correctly sending

the expected electrical signals.
If yes, then only we can move on to the next "layer".

My bravo throttle quadrant lights work for MSFS 2020...but not 2024 :(

Assuming you've installed MSFS 2024, go to C:\Users\(your user)\AppData\Local\Packages and locate a folder named Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe. Duplicate that folder and name it Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe. Run the AS_HONEYCOMB_MSFS_V2100.exe file and go through the steps of installation. After installation go to Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache and there should be a file called exe.xml. Copy it and put it into Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache. Then go to Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community and there should be a folder called AFC_Bridge. Copy it and place it into Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community. Finally, download the .json file from Areosoft located at Page 2 of this fourm and place it into Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community\AFC_Bridge\bin. You are now free to delete the Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe folder.

You won't notice a change at the menu, but once you load a plane, you're lights should light up if your plane is compatible. Let me know if you have more questions.

Works great, thanks a lot!!

Yw! Happy I could help!

i got all the way to finding the exe.xml file in the localcache after running the imnstaller for honeycomb any ideas?

I might be dumb but i don't have a "limitless" folder..any suggestions?

Wait, this driver that we are waiting for only manages the lights? I have thought that I need this driver for the whole Bravo Quadrant to work properly. Because for example my landing gear switch doesn't work, so I assumed, I am missing the driver.

No you just need to map it in FS2024

So it seems my Quadrant Bravo is broken, and I can't RMA it because I purchased it too long ago. Freaking great. Does anyone had the problem when landing gear switch won't work?

Is the switch recognized in the Windows joystick utility ?

Update as promised :
Still in testing.
The developpers are still working on the full reliability of the system
as there still are cases where the system just won't work.
Will let you know more tomorrow.

Don't you realize that aerosoft just being strung along and taken for a ride about Quadrant?
