I got this working for my install. Do the following if you already installed the AFC_Bridge in msfs20. I believe you have otherwise you will not have lights working for msfs20.

Go to the location of your local cache for msfs20, it should be in a location similar to this:

      C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe/LocalCache

From here, copy exe.xml into the local cache folder for msfs24. Should be located here:

     C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache

You will need to also copy the folder AFC_Bridge from Packages/Community in msfs20 to msfs24.

Finally, you need to edit the exe.xml file you copied previously into msfs24 LocalCache and change the Path value under <Launch.Addon> to point to the correct location for MSFS24.

Once you make those changes start msfs24 and you should have lights!!!

Hope this helps.

Folks - I used fratus' tip and it worked fine. Bravo lights are again working as they did in 2020.

Thank you fratus!!

Cheers, Barry

  • Well Folks, thanks to our developpers, the Honeycomb Lights driver for MSFS2024 is now available ! Final tests have been performed as we said and is works as it should. Thank you for your patience

  • The driver is done. The programmers are currently finalizing the installer. Should be all good for this week.

I dit this and the lights are only working for 2 airplaines for me

Hi:

that is expected with the supplied default bravo lights profile of MSFS2020. A new one for MSFS2024 will be supplied with the official update to the software.

Yeah, but when... 😂 We were promised this week.

The MSFS Release (19.11.2024) has been well known for quite some time (sure the release was terrible) so why couldn´t they work in advance on this? They keep selling top tier and priced periphals so I do think the way they´re handling this is disappointing to say the least. Sure there is probably not a lot of people than spent that amount of money on their flight controls but as someone who did I feel over 2weeks waiting for an installer update is a stretch so yeah Im pissed and they had plenty of time honestly.

Microsoft didn't share any details/resources, like the SDK, to any 3rd party developer. So, they all had to wait for the release of the flight simulator.

Now that they have those resources, the 3rd party developers have to figure out what will or will not work, and what changes need to be made. This is not a simple "flip of a switch" process, but takes time. Some updated can take weeks if not months.

The week is not over yet, so please give developers the time to release updates of their products once they are sure they work as intended.

I'm sure they're working hard on this update and will provide us with something finished, not like Microsoft !

The most important being:
Give us something that works for Microsoft AND Steam...

And then finally, the light will come out of my Bravo ;)

I have a brand new Brovo T Q, but like most everyone else, it doesn't have lights. I have tried all the things that are around; some say do this and do that, and all will be good. People who try to help, I thank you, but with one caveat: Don't assume that everyone is a programming wizard.

Ok... What do you mean exactly ?
The driver will be exactly the same as for MSFS2020.

Good news, thank you :)

Sounds great!  Thank you for the updates.  I understand that Honeycomb did not have access like every other 3rd party developer.  To me you guys are fixing things as quick as you can 😀

Crazy that MS/Asobo didn't give you guys access considering you create some of the most beloved hardware for their sim.. :o

We have some issues with the installer.

It works for most of us, but some others have issues with the correct installation.

This is too unsure for a release.

We may need to delay by a couple of days.

I won't be lying, I was truly confident for this week, but it doesn't look good for today.

I will keep you updated.

Most of us only need the exe and the json file as we are able to install it ourselves.

JSON works for me too! Thanks!

Where do you put the file?

next to the Bridge file (read the thread)

Sadly the json file download link is no longer available. Any possibility to get a hold of it to test?
