Lights stopped working on my Honeycomb Bravo after downloading MSFS 2024

I downloaded MSFS 2024 yesterday and the lights on my Honeycomb Bravo throttle stopped working.  Everything else works on the Bravo, but no lights work at all.  Just wondering if this is happening to anyone else.  Does anyone know of a solution?

Same for me, so I tried to uninstall and reinstall the software of my Honeycomb Bravo throttle, but it refuses to install because it is looking for a file location that is specific to MSFS 2020 and that my Steam version of MSFS 2024 does not create when installing the game.
We need a new driver with the possibility of selecting which version of the game we purchased, Microsoft Store or Steam.
We need the developers to provide it to us quickly (the new Flight simulator is already a gas factory, so please guys, help us... )

I got this working for my install. Do the following if you already installed the AFC_Bridge in msfs20. I believe you have otherwise you will not have lights working for msfs20.

Go to the location of your local cache for msfs20, it should be in a location similar to this:

      C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe/LocalCache

From here, copy exe.xml into the local cache folder for msfs24. Should be located here:

     C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache

You will need to also copy the folder AFC_Bridge from Packages/Community in msfs20 to msfs24.

Finally, you need to edit the exe.xml file you copied previously into msfs24 LocalCache and change the Path value under <Launch.Addon> to point to the correct location for MSFS24.

Once you make those changes start msfs24 and you should have lights!!!

Hope this helps.

Thank you for this feedback.

Our developers are working on the bridge for MSFS 2024.

I will keep the forum updated when it becomes available.

The Steam version does not create a folder called "Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe" in "C:\Users\<your name>\AppData\Local\Packages", although it seems that for Fratus this is the case (see his post above), maybe it's because he has the Microsoft Store version of the game ? So please make sure the installation is possible for those who purchased the Steam version of the game.
I'm playing in a dark room and I'm really looking forward to enjoying the lighting from my Honeycomb Bravo throttle.

Thanks in advance !

Can sombody upload the exe.xml file and afc_bridge folder so I can try this, I don't have flightsim2020 installed.

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator.xxxxxx\LocalCache\exe.xml and C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator.xxxxxx\LocalCache\Packages\Community\afc_bridge

The exe.xml file is customized for each installation depending on what items are installed. Because I use an app called BetterBravoLights from Flightsim.to,  sharing mine won't work as it disables the Aerosoft published one. If someone wants to forward the two files, please ensure there are no copyright issues with providing the AFC Bridge file (hopefully not, as it's a freeware distribution downloadable from Aerosoft here) and ensure the exe.xml file is edited to remove all the references to any other files so SmashT and others that may have his situation aren't messed up by the exe.xml calling non-existent files on their systems. As SimWare is an Aerosoft insider, perhaps he can advise here.

I did follow fratus' suggestion, adapting his solution by editing out the other software calls in my MSFS 2020 version of exe.xml and saving it to the location he described. Works perfectly.

I didn't have much luck with that, primarily because I'm on the steam version so the paths seems quite different. Tried putting them here which seemed the equivalant but no dice, guess I'm waiting a week unless someone else with a steam version figures it out

C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\exe.xml

C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\Packages\Community\AFC_Bridge

I tried exactly the same thing a few days ago after doing a search on the location of exe.xml.

Same result as you - no dice... Irritating huh.

I also have my steam installation on a different drive to my system drive eg. "G: drive" rather than "C: Drive"... not sure if that throws a spanner in the works.

yes this did work for me the only problem I had was when trying to paste AFC_Bridge file I kept getting a message "The organisation will not allow the file to be pasted here" the work around was zipping the AFC_Bridge file   and extracting to the community folder Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\

I am going to wait for the installer update, in the meantime I will run the Christmas Tree application and light up the top row buttons (always on) since I am also usually playing in a darker room, like FH2990. As far as I know, since MSFS 24 is not trying to control the lights, it is no problem.

The installer will be updated for MSFS 2024 next week.

As soon as it is ready, it will be made available on our website.

Hello, today is Friday. Any news on this topic?

I wrote the message this Sunday.
So next week is the week coming after this Sunday.

Got it. In EU and most countries the week begins from Monday, so I assumed that next week is this week. OK, patiently waiting when I can use my expensive Honeycomb Bravo Throttle... Thank you for clarification.

I mean no disrespect but what is takin so long to update the installer for the current MSFS24? As a customer I am rather shocked - at this point im considering returning the hardware since I can not properly use it and at this price range y´all should have been ready when the sim released smh...

The MSFS Release (19.11.2024) has been well known for quite some time (sure the release was terrible) so why couldn´t they work in advance on this? They keep selling top tier and priced periphals so I do think the way they´re handling this is disappointing to say the least. Sure there is probably not a lot of people than spent that amount of money on their flight controls but as someone who did I feel over 2weeks waiting for an installer update is a stretch so yeah Im pissed and they had plenty of time honestly.
