Can FlightSim Commander still be updated?

Hi. I recently came back into Flight Simulation after several years of other simulators. ie. Farming Simulator, Microsoft Train Simulator ETS2 and ATS.

 I have 'flown' since my SubLogic version on my C64. I also had FS5.1 as well as FS98 and still have FS9 and FSX.

Anyway, I dusted off my FS9 and FSX and installed them on my Win7 and Win10 pc's. I enjoyed FS Navigator for FS9, but never got a good Flight Planner for FSX, years ago.

 

I recently bought a CD version of FlightSim Commander V9.2. It appears to have a lot of good features and I am learning better how to use it.

 

I see it is no longer for sale.

 

Does anybody know if updates are still available? I see the last version sold was V10 and I read on the forum somebody had V9.6.

 

I am re-training on private aircraft even though I did fly passenger jets, maybe 10 years ago. Re-learning IFR and GPS.

 

I would appreciate any assistance here.

No idea, from what kind of shop you bought the CD. The dev closed down his business around 2 years ago, so no updates and support anymore, sorry.

Hi, thanks for the response.

I bought it from a re-seller of used games in Great Britain, listed on E-Bay. They have a large selection of used Flight Simulator software. I picked up a couple of things.

The Utility activates upon installation. .

 

I have since observed that there are newer versions mentioned, and have seen some mention of online upgrades. 

I am aware that sales of FS Commander have since stopped, but wondered if upgrades continued.

 

I am also looking , possibly for some guidance as I learn my way into FS Commander.
