Hi,

got an issue with winds aloft in PFPX. Last update was on 29SEP, since then nothing happens. Metars and TAFs are still updated. Server subscription is valid till 11NOV, has anyone run into the same problem?

Thanks a lot for help

PFPX was switched to a new server last weekend and will take a few days to resolve issues.

The developer is aware.

To your knowledge will we need to make changes on how PFPX receives the weather updates? I am guessing no, but thought I would ask anyways.

Thanks!

Nothing to change our end.

Interim solutions are to use Activesky if that is an option to you or WX2PFPX which is free and I would recommend.

NAT tracks can be copy/pasted in when PFPX is switched to manual mode.

Hopefully the server issues will resolve shortly.

Yes, I just happen to notice the issue myself today. I haven't created a flight plan in PFPX (or did a flight in the sim for that matter) in last 3 weeks. I was about to open a ticket about this issue but see based on the post, someone already did it and we're just waiting for a fix. WX2PFPX is what I use as backup.

If anyone cares, I use Active Sky WX data, works great for my flying: SWA route network. Awaiting server transition.

thanks for letting us know. Can you confirm if using Active Sky that PFPX Vertical Cross Section weather chart is working Sigwx respectively turbulence graphs? I don’t own Active Sky yet but if it’s working it would be worth considering.

I use PFPX (for more than ten years already!) only for flight calculations, METAR/TAF and NOTAM info. I use other sources for SIGWX maps.

I just checked again, and weather is updated (along with Tracks).

I use version 2.04 and I would recommend to update to this version. Unless there are some specific reason why not to.

With such a sophisticated piece of software I decided if it works, don't fix it. This older version worked perfectly for me.

I'll update if necessary, thanks!

Stopped working for me today. It briefly showed my server subscription (361 days remaining) and then switched to 'Connecting to server'.

General update with good and bad points.
Weather shows that it is updated, but it there is still an exclamation mark. Tracks are updated.

The exclamation exists due to the TAFS not updating.
