LTFM Mesh problem

Featured Replies

Hello,

I just updated the new version of LTFM but still elevation issues happen around gates B. I use with OrthoXP. Do you guys will fix it ?

Thanks

Hi Safak,

can you provide more information about the issue? Do you have some screenshots to show? I can't see any issues here on my end around gates B. Further, if you use Ortho4xp, there is a custom dem file included in the Mesh folder (in the "elevations" folder) that you can use to create your tile in addition to the mesh patch for more accurate results - did you try that custom elevation file?

Hello,

I create custom ZL18 tiles for LFTM and I use file which you provided. The file name is "LTFM.patch.osm".

And  image.thumb.png.e5673f78950c310547d02289eee32ef1.pnguploaded 2 screenshot.

Thank you.

Hello again,

it could be related with orthoxp maybe but ı am using 1.01 ı checked again.

In the mesh folder there is also elevation folder and inside this folder there is tiff file. What is this file ? Should I use this file with orthoxp while creating tile? I only use .osm file

The tiff file should be used in the ortho4xp option 'use custom DEM' when creating your tile. Did you download the scenery using Aerosoft One? If yes, then you should have the latest version, if not please update to version 1.0.1.

If you have bought the scenery at Non-Aerosoft-Shop, such as X-Plane.org, you have to ask them for an Aerosoft One key if you don't have one already.

Yes I downloaded via Aerosoft One and version is 1.01 ı checked again. But one thing is I did not use tiff file I only use osm file for orthoxp maybe that’s the issue ı will create new tile with tiff and osm file

thanks

Just checked, my B-gates look good even with Ortho4XP. Make sure:

  • that you have the latest LTFM Ortho4XP-patch in Ortho4XP_v140/Patches/+40+020/+41+028
  • that you have selected the with the scenery pack shipped .tif file in the config as "custom_dem"

Rebuild the XP tile, and everything should be fine.

Hello developer, I need your help with mesh in this scenario. I couldn’t fully understand whether I should directly reference the file path of the TIFF file mentioned above within the mesh file in the scenario to add it to the custom mesh area in Ortho4XP, or if I need to copy this TIFF file into the Ortho4XP/internal/elevation data folder and rebuild the tile using batch build.

Additionally, this TIFF file is named in the format +41+028, but the Ortho4XP developers state that such files should be named like N41E028, similar to the .hgt format.

Thank you.

It's actually as simple as described in the post right above yours. The patch LTFM.patch.osm needs to be copied into Ortho4XP_v140/Patches/+40+020/+41+028 (the name of the .osm matters here), but the .tif should not be copied – instead, it should be selected in the configuration under "custom_dem" (the name of the .tif doesn't matter in this case).
