HoneyComb Bravo - General aviation flaps lever misaligned

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I bought a Honeycomb Bravo and received it this weekend.

When I unpacked it I noticed that the flap lever (for general aviation) was not correctly aligned (not horizontal).
It's just a detail that doesn't prevent it from working properly, but I wanted to know if there was anything I could do myself? A screw to loosen to put the lever back correctly horizontal or something simple like that?

Thanks in advance.
Sorry about the photo, I'll try to make a decent one this evening. Updated picture

Hi,

Underneath the little lever there is a small hex screw.
You can unthighen it and ajust the lever position.

Hi @SimWare

Thanks for your reply and sorry for the late reply, I wasn't notified.

I have tried to loosen this screw and even removed it, but the lever won't move and seems to be stuck.

Is there anything I can do to "loosen" it?

EDIT

I've managed to remove the lever; I wasn't supposed to turn it, but to pull it forwards.
However, it's impossible to put it in the correct position because the axis behind it is crooked (you can see that the two notches are not perfectly vertical), and to put the lever back in place, with the screw, you have to make it fit into these notches, and therefore put it crooked. It's the axis behind that should turn.

Hello,

Thanks for your answer.

Yes, I had also contacted them in parallel with this forum to see if there was an easy solution to put this lever back horizontal, and they've had also suggested an RMA.
But it's just a visual detail. I'm not going to do an RMA for it. The lever is perfectly functional.
If there was an easy external repair, I would have done it. But it will stay as is.

Thanks for your help :)

Hi,

You are welcome.
There is possibly another solution but it would most likely void the warranty.
Remove the screw, and glue the lever with a contact palstic glue on the little shaft at the exact horizontal position.

Modern glues are very resistant.
But keep in mind you won't be able to remove the lever anymore and in case of problem, the warranty might be denied.

Have a good day.
