Soooo......any news?

Featured Replies

From the conversation here it sounds like they will also give it to Microsoft on Tuesday but that they cannot say when it will be available because it takes some time for them to upload it to marketplace etc.

It's simple: While you are asking me to give you more information, other developers get hell from their community because they can't keep announced release dates (for whatever reason. I'm not judging

I'm not sure what I could tell you except the things I wrote in my last post. We're still working on the same things as before, but I'm not going to give you a list of when and how long people were on

  • Nobody is expecting a feature length blog with hype and a thesis about every detail 3 times a week. But I'm sorry, the current state and the current statement from the developer just doesn't cut it. I

Sweet! Finally.  Alright I’m content. Just gotta wait now.  Very happy over here, so many previously PC only aircraft have or are coming to Xbox. To name a few-

B1 Lancer

C17

MH60

CRJ

747

757

Finally, a release date is set for March 25, announced in their discord. A bit puzzling that there's no communication at all here in the forum, but I guess they don't deem it as an important communication channel ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hopefully this will bring the CRJ up to the standard that the price suggests, and I also hope it wont take years until the next update as I am sure there will be a need for bugfixing in the v2. I am cautiously optimistic, but also worried that this may be the last update in years again.....

Hello there,

Finally we have some great news for you: One of the first Airliner Add-Ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator, the Aerosoft CRJ, is getting a major overhaul and a great update with new features, many changes and some exciting news for you in version 2 of the very popular regional jet.

Today we would like to announce the release date, which flight simulator it will be for and how you can get it in terms of price for new customers and upgrade for existing Aerosoft CRJ version 1 owners.

First things first. We will release the Aerosoft CRJ v2 on the 25th of March 2025.

It will be available as version 2 and will be compatible with MSFS2020 and MSFS2024! Featuring a completely redesigned cabin, revised flight model, full implementation of Navigraph charts and much more, v2 expands on the original aircraft with new features, bug fixes and enhanced customisation. A full changelog will be provided with the release.

In addition, the CRJ will finally be available on the Xbox for both simulators. This means full compatibility in both simulators on all platforms.

The CRJ v2 will be available as a complete bundle including the following aircraft variants: CRJ 550 CRJ 700 CRJ 900 CRJ 1000 The price for the complete bundle will be 49,99€ (incl. VAT).

If you already own the CRJ v1, no matter which version, you will get this upgrade including all aircraft variants for free!

I will leave you with this great news and also attach a great trailer. We are very excited about this update/release and many streamers, YouTubers and other influencers will be getting their hands on it over the weekend to give you all the details starting next week.

Awesome!  Xbox here I come.  I also used to work for GoJet on the CRJ, so this is neat.

The only typo is the trailer says “available now”

When do you anticipate it being available on the marketplace? Also Tuesday?

That's not something we can really confirm, unfortunately, as it'll all depend on when Microsoft approves the update for the marketplace version.

Fair enough. Can you guys please keep up posted as the process continues.

You’ll know when the process is done, as the release will be featured in the Markedplace then. What do you really want them to keep you up to date on? Posting copies of internal corprate dialog here at this forum?

Planned fix log? Plans for deferred fixes to come in a future update?

Okay negative Mikkel. If you’re not interested in wanting the same, then butt out.

I think it would be nice if they happen to hear from Microsobo that it’s in process and on schedule for X date availability.  Then aerosoft could update us and say hey it’s coming this week etc.

Xbox users always get second rate experience, in terms of content availability, but we do have it easier in file management loan n go.  If I were a dev, I’d want all my customers to have as close to the same experience as possible and not release pc so far in advance and instead wait till I know an Xbox date.  Annoying how no one does that.

project management communication for paying customers.

No publisher will shelve a product until Microsoft can release it. You have no control over that and because you are never sure when it will be available until it is available, it makes any kind of marketing impossible. Besides, why make PC customers unhappy?

Telling other forum users to 'butt out' because they do not agree with you does not really work for me btw.

So, to summarize the preview of CRJ V2 from A330Driver livestream:

- VNAV is buggy

- STARs are messed up

- Holds do not work

- LOC capture does not work

On a positive note, the passenger cabin graphics are updated!

I guess we need to wait another couple of years for fixes.

I did check here and there during the livestream and boy I was disappointed.

N1 still goes past FLEX - not the end of the world

LNAV seems to work - yay

When a direct is inserted the TOD disappears and the advisory VNAV does not work anymore - practical solution: can fly without VNAV? sure but... let's keep watching.

Trying to fly a direct entry HOLD and, first of all inconsistent drawing of the HOLD path that soon became a modern art display LOL, joined ok but then the plane simply kept turning ignoring the path... - practical solution: can fly a HOLD manually? sure but... At that point I stopped watching.

We are in 2025. Msfs is out for almost 5 years, the CRJ is 4 years old and it is the only airliner that I'm aware of that still cannot fly a HOLD and a simple advisory VNAV borks after the slightest flight plan change.

It's really really a shame. I absolutely love the concept of the CRJ to fly but this rendition is at this point just a waste of time when there are so many choices of awesome products, with some hiccups here and there sure but far from being S*** even in the most simple functions, like the CRJ.

At this point, sorry I mean no offence, but objectively this is just close to incompetence

Well, there is another one, also published by Aerosoft....It's as if relying on default Asobo systems for navigation and flight model isn't a great idea!

I watched enough of a330 drivers stream to come to the conclusion that I'll keep the current version installed, at least the Boris Sounds will still work

If this is true, I’m shocked! SHOCKED I tell you!

Too bad there were no real world CRJ drivers around to provide feedback over the past few years. Im sure that would been really helpful. /s

The feedback session probably went something like this:

CRJ Driver: We should be able to use FMS to program a hold at a waypoint...

Aerosoft: Best we can do is to draw a bunch of squiggles which autopilot will then refuse to follow.

Really makes you wonder about what kind of beta testers are being employed... I sure hope Hans is tracking the stuff that showed up in the stream today.

If after four years the plane still cannot capture a localizer or do a simple hold, I don't think the problem is with the beta testers...

Ive just seen another preview video from 320 sim pilot where it intercepted the ILS perfectly. Emi did say that he had just been given a hot fix just before the stream so wonder if that broke something.

The 320 preview didn't have a hold in it though, so can't comment on that.

They need a simple tweak. See the attached document Hans shared with me.

Thanks Mathjis, no sign of model changes then ( thankfully, I'm not sure where the source for my liveries is atm... ).

I've never had a problem with it intercepting a LOC, it's never been able to fly a hold though ( and I've gone one at length about how comical it is, including track maps 😛 ). Was the released patch actually the right one? I mean, the ATR is quite capable of flying a hold...
