How to disable parts of the product

Some people have made it clear they prefer other ship AI over thew shipping we include. It is easy to disable parts of our DLC as it is all setup very logical and structured.

If you want to disable the 'moving' cargo ships from our DLC simply rename the cargoships.bgl to cargoships.off.  And the same goes for all other classes of ships. The cargoships_static.bgl ship contains all the cargo ships that are at anchor, moored or being kept dynamically positioned . Always keep in mind that around 35% of all vessels in the North Sea are at anchor! From our database we set all vessels moving at less then 0.5 knots as static.

Do note that if you use any other AI Traffic ship DLC you will run into conflicts because these ships do not adhere fully to shipping lanes etc. They also do not know they are simply not allowed in certain areas. So you will see them sail through wind parks, collide with other objects etc. You will also miss the realism of seeing the correct density and amount of ships.   Of course you will also remove the object to land on the vessels as standard AI can't have a landable surface at this moment.

Before you disable thing, can I suggest you read this post?
