suttonyoung 0
Its now a new forum, so a search proved useless. Can anyone guide me with the process of reinstalling AES after a hard drive format. I backed up all the DAT files from my previous installation, do I just overwrite the new install with these? Thanks in advanceStuart Sutton-Young
Developer OPabst 2091 Posted April 12, 2008 Developer Share Posted April 12, 2008 Hi,manual create a directory <FS9>\Aerosoft\AES and copy there the backuped DAT files. Then start the newest installer (1.95a) and you will get back all configs, credits and assignments. Then you only need to check the box in front of the airports you use, after you have installed the related Addon Scenery. Katkov 0
Hi, I'm about to uninstall and reinstall FS9 too. I understand that I have to manually create the Aerosoft/AES folder in my new Flight Simulator 9 folder, but what should I exactly copy there ? Only the .dat files or the entire content of the "old" /Aerosoft/AES folder, including the subfolders etc ? Thanks
Developer OPabst 2091 Posted April 18, 2010 Developer Share Posted April 18, 2010 When you have 2.06 installed, then you can copy the complete Subdir structure, AEShelp will handle the rest.
