Aerosoft SimWare 729 Posted October 10, 2022 Aerosoft Share Posted October 10, 2022 ASSISTANCE parameter in MSFS : Often the culprit in unwanted/strange aircraft behaviors. Sometimes your aircraft is perfectly installed, the controls are perfectly assigned, calibrated, configured, the aircraft is started by the book, checklist completed. Then, when you advance the throttles for the take-off roll, the plane throttles back, or has no ground steering… Sometimes the flaps retract or extend, the trim or PA have unwanted effects or the plane is simply uncontrollable when airborne. Altough this can have multiple causes, one common reason for this is the ASSISTANCE settings in MSFS. MSFS offer an option to assist the flight, so that you can basically fly aB747 like a C172. It starts an AI copilot with you in the aircraft wich takes over a lot of controls for you. With high-end addons focusing on the real world procedures, this can lead to the conflicts describe above and to unpredictable behaviors. The solution is to set the ASSISTANCE parameter to TRUE TO LIFE. Here are the steps to do so : NOTE : When applying this change, start the simulator as administrator, make the change, close the simulator end restart it as administrator again. Double check if the assistance change is still there. STEP 1 : In the main menu, go to OPTIONS. Please login to display this image. STEP 4 : Restart the simulator as administrator and check that the assistance parameter is still set as required.
