Deputy Sheriffs Herman 1585 Posted July 7, 2022 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted July 7, 2022 I did a fair amount of instrument ground instruction with a Link in the mid-70's. The designer, Edwin Link, was familiar with organ mechanics (see the Wikipedia article here) and the pitch/roll/yaw axes were powered with the bellows-type devices you can see in the lower center of the picture. The unit we had failed one day due to the air pump going TU, but the owner happened to have grown up on a dairy farm and a milking machine pump produced exactly the output needed to run the bellows. Brilliant fix.
pushperaj65 0
I have no clue on how accurate this is, but I think it is linear. Like the flight is from Boston to San Diego making all of the stops in between. And it does 3 flights each direction a day.
