Aerosofts fragwürdige Haltung gegenüber der Community

Welchen besseren Ort als das Aerosoft Forum selbst könnte man sich denken, um ein paar äußerst unschöne Dinge über Aerosoft zu diskutieren? Richtig, keinen. 

 

Aerosoft, lange ein Teil dieser Community (gewesen) verhöhnt diese geradezu mit seinem Verhalten. Die überaus kleinliche und armselige Geschichte mit den Mods, die das Copyright verletzten...Das ist in etwa genauso armselig, wie Leute anschwärzen, die die Parkuhr nicht umgestellt haben. Aerosoft hatte durch die Mod keinen einzigen Nachteil und fährt direkt die ganz dicken Kanonen auf. Und auch wenn jeder versteht, dass es eine Copyright Verletzung war, so ist auch jedem schleierhaft, wieso man bei einer Verletzung des Copyrights, die keinerlei Nachteile birgt, solche Maßnahmen ergreift. Nicht nur für mich und jeden Sim Piloten den ich kenne, dürfte sich damit das Thema Aerosoft beendet haben.

1. We have asked the mods to be taken offline because were actually 98% not mods but our copyrighted code. That is against the law. Punishable. 
2. I offered the person who made those mods to host the changes so everybody could use his fine work without the copyright violations.
3. He did not want to do so, removed all his files (even those we not related to our products) and did not want to support the community anymore, even though I explained we had not interest in going after him in a legal way. The files being offline were all we wanted. I honestly have no why.
4. Other people have now made his mods available without violating the copyrights. So we are are happy and the users can be happy. A win-win.

I am sorry you did not understand the fact (or when you did understand the facts, did not understand the simple legal facts).  As publisher this is one of the things we get paid for. If we would not remove these files the developers could make us legally responsible for the consequences.
