Can’t wait for this! Is it planned for an Xbox marketplace release also Mathijs? Not sure if you’ve already mentioned this or not? I’ll definitely buy this on Xbox if so.

Just read the first post...

This product is intended to be released in late summer at between 10 and 15 Euro. It will be sold in our store (duh…), our affiliate stores and the Microsoft Marketplace. It will run on PC and Xbox. We have a team of veteran experts assisting us to make sure what we show is realistic.

I have made a harbour cruise at Rotterdam yesterday. Here we passed the production site of these offshore wind generators, supposed to be the biggest of it's kind in the world.

Please login to display this image.

When they are ready, they are loaded to these special vessels.

We had seen these vessels sometimes on the sea the last two years, so it was very impressing to get so close to it one time and see it jacked up.

I am really looking forward to this addon 👍🏻

Finally I am able to show you a part of this project that we feel is very much the core.  The actual constructions and other areas where work is being done.

See, there are thousands of construction workers building things. Windfarms (did you know that The Netherlands, UK, Belgium, Denmark and Germany will have 80%+ of their electricity demand met by wind in 2040?), oil rig, pipelines, electrical cables, gas production platforms, drilling rigs, security services, surveying.... It is the biggest industry park in the world.

And that is what we are trying to show with this project.

Is there a plan to make the models look realistic?  Everything looks extremely new and shiny, like plastic models.

Hopefully you plan to add wear and tear such as rust and damage?

Actually these things stay pretty clean when they are at sea. I know what you mean but we simply do not have the budget to adapt thousands of bitmaps.

That said, a lot of the objects do show their age.

Yeah, been there. The scale of these things is incredible, just as the financial investments.

A advisor in this project told me this: "Combine the European car industry with the aviation industry and then multiply by five. That's the size of what is happening."  You just do not see it because it is out of sight. You see a Volkswagen on the road but you do not see electricity. Or another figure. While offshore workers make very serious money, the cost to keep one person working can be over 5000 euro a day. That's because it costs a bloody fortune to have the floatels out there, helicopter rides, massive investments in security and safety.

In the picture I copy, there must be up to 300 million Euro in hardware visible.

Hi, it looks great (I know I commented about some objects that just look too new and shiny, which is a bit of a shame) but it still looks pretty good, and for the heli simmers it will be great to have decent looking platforms to fly out to and land on.

Is there any update on the release date?

How about an early release for the heli guys who mainly want to fly out to oil and gas rigs, so just the rigs with landing pads to start with and then an add on for the rest when it's done?

  ; )

Tell me the story behind this picture and you get a free copy. Look carefully and explain all you see.

As back story, this is happening close to a construction site.

The inspector for the building site arrived with his sailing yacht and is about to be picked up by the crew of the support ship.
With this support ship he wil be sailing to the construction ship on which he will be winched up from the winch deck of the support ship.

The reason for this odd way to get onto the the building site is because the inspector was on a holiday with his yacht when he was called in to inspect some equipment.

This was damaged during assembly and needs to be inpected and decided if the work can continu with this equipment or if a mayor delay will occur.

The difficulty to get equipment installed at sea has such a high priority that they lifted the inspector of his yacht bunk and let him interrupt his vacation for this job.

His wife is crumpy about it but will be compensated by the gifts he will give to her paid by the amount he earned by doing this job.

The pictures look great and I am very excited for the release on this.
Especialy when the maasvlakte heliport is included.

Do you know that at the end of the rotterdam harbour enter piers ther are elevated helipads located.
They are used for training purpose to train helicopter pilots for landing on offshore helipads.
Will you include this with this Heliport. Its very near by

During a race, a sailing boat got stranded, after which a rescue ship came to action, preparing to board (somehow this doesn't make sense...)

Nope. The sailing vessel got into the construction zone and did not listen to radio calls. So the security vessel lowered one of it RIBs that is now on the way to escort the sailing vessel  out of the dangerous area.

That was the first think I suspected but this was so obvious to me so

I made a much more less obvious mystery story about it. LOL

Is this product still likely to release before the end of 2022 seeing as we have now missed the planned summer release, or have I misunderstood and it is actually planned to release summer 2023?

However you are already doing with these ships that are designed for there specific jobs. Some are realy UFO like.

When Simupdate 10 with proper helicopters and this scenery are released I wil have tons of hours flying fun over the sea.

You and your team are highly apreciated for making this scenery.
