How to check outside air temperature (OAT) in Twin Otter? [SOLVED]

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've read in the manual that under 4ºC I should use deice and anti-ice systems, but I don't find a instrument to check external temperature.

Is there a instrument to check it and I don't find it?

How do I know when I have to use deice and anti-ice systems?

Thanks in advance.

It took me also some time to find it. 🙂

The instrument is above the pilots head.

BTW: I read somewhere that it can show a wrong reading in sunlight in the real Twin Otter (I guess because the sensor is on the roof) but I doubt that this is modeled...
