SamH234 5
Hi I'm sad to have to report this but it seems that there is a real problem for me with the A330. For the second time in two flights the aircraft has had a DXGI Device Error mid flight, meaning that P3D has to be terminated. In this case the addons were: A330 professional 1.0.5.1 Active Sky 8024 FSDT Los Angeles GSX AIG AI Traffic And my specs are: Intel i7 9700k NVIDIA GeoForce RTX 2060 6GB 32GB RAM Windows 10 64 Bit The CTD occurred about an hour or so into the flight. This has varied previously from shortly after takeoff to several hours into the flight. This leaves no error log in the Event Viewer except for the following: Log Name: Application Source: Windows Error Reporting Date: 30/12/2021 13:27:40 Event ID: 1001 Task Category: None Level: Information Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: DESKTOP-I8Q61TU Description: Fault bucket , type 0 Event Name: LiveKernelEvent Response: Not available Cab Id: 0 Problem signature: P1: 117 P2: ffffc909cced6050 P3: fffff8036d8482e4 P4: 0 P5: 2e3c P6: 10_0_19044 P7: 0_0 P8: 256_1 P9: P10: Attached files: \\?\C:\Windows\LiveKernelReports\WATCHDOG\WATCHDOG-20211230-1327.dmp \\?\C:\Windows\TEMP\WER-172805265-0.sysdata.xml \\?\C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\Temp\WERD878.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml \\?\C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\Temp\WERD889.tmp.xml \\?\C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\Temp\WERD888.tmp.csv \\?\C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\Temp\WERD898.tmp.txt These files may be available here: \\?\C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchive\Kernel_117_e9afedff80622ac4ff59129c3fa5912bf1cb3dd_00000000_cab_cfe7cb76-9a5e-437e-8f34-21dd51e0958f Analysis symbol: Rechecking for solution: 0 Report Id: cfe7cb76-9a5e-437e-8f34-21dd51e0958f Report Status: 2049 Hashed bucket: Cab Guid: 0 Event Xml: <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event"> <System> <Provider Name="Windows Error Reporting" /> <EventID Qualifiers="0">1001</EventID> <Version>0</Version> <Level>4</Level> <Task>0</Task> <Opcode>0</Opcode> <Keywords>0x80000000000000</Keywords> <TimeCreated SystemTime="2021-12-30T13:27:40.0327220Z" /> <EventRecordID>57854</EventRecordID> <Correlation /> <Execution ProcessID="0" ThreadID="0" /> <Channel>Application</Channel> <Computer>DESKTOP-I8Q61TU</Computer> <Security /> </System> <EventData> <Data> </Data> <Data>0</Data> <Data>LiveKernelEvent</Data> <Data>Not available</Data> <Data>0</Data> <Data>117</Data> <Data>ffffc909cced6050</Data> <Data>fffff8036d8482e4</Data> <Data>0</Data> <Data>2e3c</Data> <Data>10_0_19044</Data> <Data>0_0</Data> <Data>256_1</Data> <Data> </Data> <Data> </Data> <Data> \\?\C:\Windows\LiveKernelReports\WATCHDOG\WATCHDOG-20211230-1327.dmp \\?\C:\Windows\TEMP\WER-172805265-0.sysdata.xml \\?\C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\Temp\WERD878.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml \\?\C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\Temp\WERD889.tmp.xml \\?\C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\Temp\WERD888.tmp.csv \\?\C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\Temp\WERD898.tmp.txt</Data> <Data>\\?\C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchive\Kernel_117_e9afedff80622ac4ff59129c3fa5912bf1cb3dd_00000000_cab_cfe7cb76-9a5e-437e-8f34-21dd51e0958f</Data> <Data> </Data> <Data>0</Data> <Data>cfe7cb76-9a5e-437e-8f34-21dd51e0958f</Data> <Data>2049</Data> <Data> </Data> <Data>0</Data> </EventData> </Event> I searched the forums but I found nothing directly relating to an issue like this. A search of LM's forums revealed something similar, indicating an issue with NVIDIA drivers: https://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=141698 However I want to be quite clear about this - this does not happen with any other aircraft or addon since the last driver update, it happens only with the A330. I have completed several long haul flights in the QW 787, various PMDG aircraft and none of them present this error - leading me to conclude this must be something that the A330 is doing. I cannot see how it can be anything else. Has anyone got any insight into this problem? Deputy Sheriffs masterhawk 800 Posted January 20, 2022 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted January 20, 2022 That’s a nasty P3D issue. You can check if the TDR level modifications help. Some editing in the registry how windows react if the GPU is stalled.
