Deputy Sheriffs mopperle 4161 Posted December 13, 2021 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted December 13, 2021 Again, you are posting in the wrong forum. This is the forum for the Microsoft Flightsimulator. There is a dedicated forum for addons running under FSX and P3D: Please login to display this image. For now I move this topic to the correct forum. The error points to the kernelbase.dll, which is a core Windows file. Hard to track down, but it indicates that something with your Windows is not as it should be: outdated/brocken driver, hardware etc. To get some more details please run the attached tool and post the output here. Deputy Sheriffs mopperle 4161 Posted December 13, 2021 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted December 13, 2021 This error is not related to the CRJ or P3D. I still do not know which exact version of the CRJ you have installed. You can run the ASUpdater, it will tell you which version you have installed. Deputy Sheriffs mopperle 4161 Posted December 14, 2021 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted December 14, 2021 looks all good so far, so it must be something else causing the CTD in a core Windows file: 22 hours ago, mopperle said: The error points to the kernelbase.dll, which is a core Windows file. Hard to track down, but it indicates that something with your Windows is not as it should be: outdated/brocken driver, hardware etc. It can also be that the P3D installation got correupted for some reason. Deputy Sheriffs mopperle 4161 Posted December 17, 2021 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted December 17, 2021 Hard to tell. The only thing we know for sure: A fresh install of Windows and P3D with no other add-on solved the problem in similar cases. But thats not what people want to hear. Also users claim that this happens only with the CRJ. Reason is very simple. The CRJ calls a function within Windows-Drivers and/or libraries. And when it does not get the corect answer, the application, in this case P3D, crashes. So what I would do: - make sure that everything, Windows, P3D add-ons are 100% up to date and 100% compatible; sometimes errors like this got solved by magic - make sure that no other software/add-on is running when you use the CRJ, just to rule out that something interferes - check when the crash actually happens (e.g. when loading the aircraft, during flight, when you do something, click a button etc....) - check if the crash is reproducable with a certain action - if this all does not solve the problem, make a fresh install of P3D, only with the CRJ, if it still crashes, it points more to Windows/drivers/hardware - finally do a fresh install of Windows and P3D
Nightliner 0
I have the same issue here. (CTD Midflight) With the Version from Aerosoft (V2.400) no problems, after update via Aerosoft Updater with Version 2.505, I get CTD. I rolled back to 2.400 everything is fine... Aerosoft Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] 51558 Posted February 16, 2022 Aerosoft Share Posted February 16, 2022 We are simply unable to recreate this on our systems. Unless we get more information (for example windows event logs) there is simply nothing we can suggest to solve this,
Manfred 100 0
Only to report my experiences: I had the idea to copy the NavdataPro-files for Aerosoft Airbus A320 into the NavData-Folder of the Aerosoft CRJ: That caused crash to desktop in my P3Dv5-System !! I downloaded in NavDataPro the special Navdata-files for CRJ and all worked correct. Also damaged or wrong Navdata-files for PMDG-airplans in the PMDG-Navdata-Folder cause crash to desktop. Checking the Navdata-Files and/or using the backup-files of the last cycle is one of my measures if I have ctd in the phase of starting P3Dv5. With greetings Manfred
Deputy Sheriffs mopperle 4161 Posted June 25, 2022 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted June 25, 2022 TBH, I do not understand what you are trying to tell us. There is a good reason why there are separate navdatabases for each product. Bad idea to copy navdata from one product to another product.
Manfred 100 0
This issue of a customer could not be resolved. I only tried to help him alluding to another possible reason for a ctd. Yes, it was not a good idea, but it's the same producer, perhaps the same programmer. Opening for example the files "navaids" I see no difference. Sorry for disturbing
