No sounds inside cockpit

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I purchased my copy of the A320/321 Professional recently and in the very first two flights everything went well but today I wanted to do another one and turns out there was no sound inside the cockpit, there is sounds from P3D, tested my PMDG 737 works fine, GSX works fine with the exception of the Bus, the only sound I get are from the engines running. I have tried the possible workarounds from previous posts but no success.

Am I missing something? Some help would be appreciated.

I am running P3Dv5 and I have an Asus Xonar sound card.

Did you try to "work" with the sound options in the Settings MCDU (SHIFT+4)?

Yes, but they are just volume settings and everything is at 100%, not like PMDG that has the ability to choose the output source.

Sound in and from cockpitcrew Is only when is in a view related with the cockpit, that is F9; F10; F11 and F12.

The chosen sound speaker-system had be set before the start of the simulator Prepar3d.

Is your Asus Xonar sound card set as STANDARD in the Windows Sound options?

Yes, the sound card is taking full authority on my system, even the Realtek is disabled just to avoid disagreements.

Bart, then I am nearly out of all options resp. ideas what that behaviour could cause on your system. Please also try in the P3D sound options to set it to "<Default .......Device>" and report back if that solves your problem. Are you sure that all the sound files necessary are existing on your installation?

I have this experienced when I switch the sound device in the taskbar while P3D is already running. Then the ASC.dll can’t handle the the new device and you won’t hear sounds controlled by that dll.

Be sure to have windows sound device and P3D sound output in sync. Restart P3D and try again the Airbus.
