Smaller Aircraft ?

Will there be traffic for smaller aicraft, like the General Aviation ?? Would be awesome if there was, like Cessna 172's doing tours and buiseness trips, 152's flying around for flight lessons etc.

The problem is that there are no generic models in MSFS for such aircraft and ST needs generic models.

No generic models for the default Cessna 172 and 152 and the caravan and all the other aircraft that are in the sim ?? I'm sure they are in there because they are all over the place in the sim but only in their default generic skins

The main issue is base data availablility. For commercial airliner traffic, routes are known and flght tracking data is published, but there's not much flight tracking data available for private GA traffic.

 

Of course, we could always just generate random GA traffic flightplans between smaller airfields, but Asobo has already done that in the stock sim. The default Asobo trafficAircraft.bgl already includes plenty of random C172 and C152 offline AI flights (as long as you haven't disabled it), so there's nothing much we could add to what's already there to be honest.

 

Let us know if you have any ideas though, we're open to suggestions.

Technically possible, but Simple Traffic is about how it looks and any Cessna is more or less white with some stripes.

Could definitely do with some more random GA traffic flights, I know there is some when using offline AI but could do with some more and maybe so extra random liveries to go with it even if its just simple liveries it would add to the variety of traffic not just the cessna's either but also the other default GA aircraft
