A few suggestions for some future features maybe?

Featured Replies

First of all these proposed suggestions might defeat the purpose of the product being "Simple", but I will leave them here nonetheless as there may as well be a way with future MSFS updates to keep them simple nonetheless.

As far as I've read MSFS doesn't have that kind of AFCAD logic (yet) that determines what airline can/should park at what gate. So I was thinking of something that GSX has implemented.

GSX was able to introduce a fallback system that would determine what texture to show on their service vehicles. They had texture for a single airport, airlines, non-airport/airline specific companies, etc...

For Frankfurt they would specify "EDDF" in their "config file". Let's say they don't have texture for Munich and obviously many other german airports. They would then use "Lufthansa" for ED**

Or for anything starting with a K they could use a texture specific for the USA, etc..

Perhaps the same could be done in the future for Simple Traffic, when it comes to parked-only aircraft. VHHH would spawn Cathay Pacific, NZ** would spawn Air New Zealand, Y*** would spawn Qantas. Maybe even have multiple entries for a given region.

Lufthansa and Eurowings for anything ED**. From a user perspective this could still remain "simple", since GSX also has no user input required for this kind of stuff. Obviously users can tweak if they wish to.

Currently I am using Simple Traffic to just spawn aircraft at the gates. The AI Offline mode has some unwanted side-effects of aircraft doing dangerous fly-overs over the airport as if an air show went wrong, which I am aware are MSFS related issues.

The other suggestions I have mentioned in another reply is perhaps (if MSFS won't) add simple low-polygon models resembling popular aircraft. We already have the A380 and A330. At least one narrow-body aircraft resembling an A320 would greatly add some value.

As I said these are just some suggestions. I am aware these might not be intended for Simple Traffic (even in the long run). But I just wanted to leave them here. 😉

Cheers,
