CRJ-900/1000 Differences?

Hello! I am a proud CRJ-500/700 owner and am scoping out the -900/1000 but was looking for some info on the differences/updates between the two versions? Also were components updated in the -500/700 as well?

Thanks for pointing to any info

Two new models, 9 new liveries,  with longer range and more passenger capacity. The systems are of course the same,

1.0.11.0 Update 7 (for Sim Update 6)

  • Fixed spring-loaded switches not returning in SU6
  • Updated flight model for compatibilty with SU6
  • Fix for Knob/Push combinations on FCP
  • Fixed (INTC) legs when cross track error to next leg is negative (= intercepting from the left). Test case: LSGG/04 ARBO8N SID
  • Mach/IAS Calculations adapted to MSFS SU5+
  • Exterior model icing added

Mathijs,

It seems the seating capacity in the CRJ900 is incorrect on the tablet. It shows, at least for delta, the seating capacity to be 90 seats. In real life, the seating capacity of Delta CRJ900 is 76 seats. Is it possible the CRJ1000 capacity got put in to the CRJ900?

Thank you

Made a note of that.

Reports of potential bugs, should not be piggy backed into another thread.  You were lucky that Mathijs caught this.  If you see a real bug in future, do everyone a favor and make a separate post in the correct section.  It will have better visibility.

Are the new models accompanied with differing flight characteristics or do they fly the same as the -500/700? I would assume with larger body and more weight and larger wings that they would behave differently but don't want to assume.

Of course the flight models etc. are fully adapted.  As Bombardier designed the aircraft so pilots who fly the 550 can fly the 1000 with only very minor training they do tend to feel the same. But a heaver aircraft will need more space for take-off, feel heavier in turns etc. You'll get used to it in a few hours. I prefer the 550 very much as it is a bit more 'nimble' and I find it easier to correct a rough landing.

This is a US only kind of thing due to scope clause. If they put in more seats they have to make the plane part of 'mainline' operations and pay crew more etc. In most parts of the world the CRJ900 flies around with 88-90 seats. I suppose any Delta version should be adjusted accordingly though.
