Sim Update 6 fast 90 GB

Hallo, ich habe versucht das neue Sim Update aufzuspielen. Er zeigt mir an das es nichtmal 400 MB gross ist, möchte dann aber fast 90 GB Installieren !!!!! Da ich nur eine sehr langsame Internetverbindung habe und mir damals extra die DVD besorgt habe, ist es für mich unmöglich bei jeden Update 90 GB runter zuladen. Da stimmt doch irgendwas nicht. Könnte mir hier jemand helfen?

It is basically very simple, during the update the sim checks the files on the disk against what is on the server. There is no way to avoid this download if you want to keep on using the sim. 

Of course you could ask Microsoft for some advise but I doubt they will say anything else.

Still not understand, why I have to download 90 GB for a 400 MB update !!!!!!

Wie Mathijs bereits gesagt hat must du Microsoft diese Frage stellen. Aerosoft hat keinen Einfluss auf den Updateprozess.

Because there was 90Gb of files on your system that had different version numbers than MS has on it's servers. Could be a local issue or perhaps you did not start the sim in a while.  There have been many updates in the last 3 months.

Ich konnte vor dem letzten Update ja noch fliegen, meine Version war aktuell. Es geht sich nur um das Sim Update was jetzt vor ein paar Tagen raus gekommen ist. Ich habe mal ein Bild gemacht.

Das Update ist nur 396 MB groß, wenn ich aber auf Update klicke dann will er 82 GB runterladen.  Das kann doch nicht stimmen !

But again, nobody except Microsoft can tell you what caused that.  Please believe me, nobody here will be able to assist. The simple fact is that there are a lot of files on your system that are up to date and the sim forces you to update before using it. Those are not decisions Aerosoft made so I am simply not sure why you are asking on our forums.

@RockySchultzDer Updateprozess des MSFS ist in der Regel dreiteilig. Aufgrund dieses (zugegebenermaßen seltsam strukturierten) Prozesses ist es normal, dass man den wirklichen Umfang eines Updates nicht sofort sehen kann.

 

Teil 1: Update über den MS Store bzw. Steam (je nach Version, die man gekauft hat, bei der Box-Version der MS Store). Dieser Teil des Updates ist meistens tatsächlich relativ klein (Deine 400 MB passen da ganz gut)

Teil 2: Nach dem Start des Sims wird dann das eigentliche Update heruntergeladen (entweder ein Sim Update oder ein World Update). Das ist dann sehr groß, das letzte (SU 6) hatte tatsächlich knapp 90 GB.

Teil 3: Es kann dann noch optionale Updates älterer Pakete geben, dazu muss man im Simulator unter "Profil" und "Content Manager" nachsehen (da ich meinen MSFS auf Englisch gestellt habe, weiß ich nicht genau, wie dieser Bereich auf Deutsch heißt).

 

Dass Du die Box gekauft hast, um größere Downloads zu vermeiden, war aber leider von vorneherein ein Trugschluss. MSFS ist ein sich ständig weiterentwickelnder Simulator, bei dem man um (auch große) Updates nicht herumkommt. Helfen kann Dir da leider niemand, denn Microsoft lässt es nicht zu, dass man den Simulator in einer nicht mehr aktuellen Version betreibt. Das einzige, was möglich wäre, wäre die Internetverbindung vor dem Start zu trennen, dann hat man aber natürlich auch keinen Zugriff auf Photogrammetrie bzw. die Satellitenbilder.
