Bravo throttle FCU functions (incr/decr) not working with Autopilot engaged.

Recommended Posts

In both X-Plane and P3Dv5, my Honeycomb throttle quadrant autopilot rotary selector (incr/decr) works fine until the autopilot is engaged. Once the autopilot is engaged it stops responding, then works again when the autopilot is disconnected.
This happens on all Aircraft with autopilots, on both sim titles (X-Plane and P3Dv5).

I’m using the latest Honeycomb configurators for the respective titles, and all other functions work fine.

If anyone has heard of this before or could suggest a fix it would be greatly appreciated!

with thanks….

Hi David.

Can you make a first preliminary basic test?

Go to the standard Windows joystick utility and check if you get input response of the rotary selector when the autopilot button is on.

This is to isolate the issue to the hardware or the software.

Best regards.

Hi,

Thanks for your response,

There appears to be no response in the Windows joystick utility when the Autopilot is engaged.
This is the case in all aircraft with an autopilot in both X-Plane and P3D

please see attached video.
kind regards,

David.

Hi David,

Thank you.

Still want you to do another test to really isolate the hardware from the software.

Can you make the same test but without the simulator started ?
I mean, start the Joystick uitility only and check if the rotary selector responds when you press the button that you assigned to the autopilot.

Thank you.

Hi David,

I see you have loaded up the profile for the PMDG 777 in the ConfigTool, but in your video you are displaying the problem with the PMDG NGXu. So, please make sure you actually using the correct profile.

Apart from that, please also try loading up the default profile with the default Mooney and check, if the problem happens there as well.

Hi again.

The video is the X-Plane 737. The Autopilot problem happens on  all Aircraft with an autopilot in X-Plane,(using the x-plane config tool) and all Aircraft in P3D (using the the P3D config tool in both default profile and the respective aircraft profiles from  Aerosoft) including PMDG 777 add on, and the Mooney using the default profile.

Many thanks,

David

Hi again,

Sorry but I don’t have the PMDG 737.
The 737 in the previous screenshots is the X-Plane 737.

Can I do a similar procedure for the PMDG 777?

kind regards,

David
