LTFM navdata error

Recommended Posts

Hi all!

I recently purchased the new LTFM airport and in game it works just fine. However, when I try to install the new navdata that's provided in the ''NAVDATA_AIRAC_2104'' folder, XP11 gives me the following error message:

Please login to display this image.

I did the installation as per the manual, by copying the ''Custom Data'' folder into XP11's main directory. I have no other navdata files installed. Does anyone know what's causing this issue?

Thanks

Hello ,

this message don't looks like a problem with the Instanbul "NAVDATA_AIRAC_2104".

In the scenery Istanbul v 1.01 there is no earth_msa.dat included.

In the folder NAVDATA_AIRAC_2104/Custom Data/CIFP/ there is only a file "LTFM.dat".

And in the Custom Data folder there is only a file user_nav.dat.

But no file earth_msa.dat.

This file seems to me to come from another installation ...

Thanks for the help. I've checked, In my Custom Data folder there's only the user_nav.dat file and the CIFP folder. In the CIFP folder, there's the LTFM.dat file. Exactly like you have described. I have no earth_msa.dat file installed in the Custom Data folder (or anywhere else besides XP11's default one). Could this maybe be an issue on my part or is this a bug?

Hello,

The earth_msa.dat file is located in the .../Resources/default data/ folder of X-Plane 11 (v11.55).

May be it is defective...

Try to delete this file earth_msa.dat from the .../resources/default data/ folder (make a backup before).

Then do an X-Plane 11 update wth this installer:

X-Plane is Out of Date | X-Plane

And Important is, that the two Istanbul folders

SceneryTR - LTFM Istanbul - 00 - Seasons

and

SceneryTR - LTFM Istanbul - 01 - Airport

are positioned in the file scenery_packs.ini above the "Global Airports" .

And also the SAM plugin must be installed:

Best way is to do it with the help of this SAM2_Suite:

I have tested it here again with a clean installation of X-Plane 11.55.

And may be, the problematic file is the user_nav.dat file.

I will try to get more infos from the developers....
