Aircraft does not follow loaded FS flightplan

Featured Replies

Hi,

Just purchased this excellent aircraft yesterday. However, I have difficulties in activating an imported FS flightplan.

Here is my exact actions:

1. Loading the aircraft with engines running on a runway.

2. Selecting "Align" on both MSUs.

3. Selecting "Pos" and "Auto" on both INS.

4. Selecting "Nav" on both MSUs.

The green light on the MSUs does not have a green light.

Starting to roll on the runway, and both green lights flashes.

Taking of and activating the autopilot and selecting "HDG" first and then "AUX/NAV".

After that, nothing happens. When selecting "HDG" again it follows the heading, but when

going back to "AUX/NAV" nothing.

I have checked the INS loading 2D window, and it looks like it loads the flightplan ok.

So, what am I overlooking?

I am using p3d V4.5

EDIT: I now notice that it follows the flightplan in "VOR" mode on the autopilot, not in "AUX" mode.

Hej Staffan
Have you after putting the MSU on Align inserted the current position and then wait until the status reached below 60. (about 10 minutes)
At that moment the the green light will lit and you can change the MSU to Nav.

Then I would import the flightplan and all the waypoints.

At least this is how it works in FSX
